A printed structure comprises a device comprising device electrical contacts disposed on a common side of the device and a substrate non-native to the device comprising substrate electrical contacts disposed on a surface of the substrate. At least one of the substrate electrical contacts has a rounded shape. The device electrical contacts are in physical and electrical contact with corresponding substrate electrical contacts. The substrate electrical contacts can comprise a polymer core coated with a patterned contact electrical conductor on a surface of the polymer core. A method of making polymer cores comprising patterning a polymer on the substrate and reflowing the patterned polymer to form one or more rounded shapes of the polymer and coating and then patterning the one or more rounded shapes with a conductive material.
Electrical conveyance assembly
An electrical conveyance assembly includes a substrate that may include an electrically insulating material. The electrical conveyance assembly may include a plurality of electrical conductors connected to the substrate via additive manufacturing. The substrate may include an internal lattice structure formed via additive manufacturing. The substrate may include an internal fluid channel.
METHODS AND PROCESSES FOR FORMING ELECTRICAL CIRCUITRIES ON THREE-DIMENSIONAL GEOMETRIES
Methods for forming electrical circuitries on three-dimensional (3D) structures and devices made using the methods. A method includes forming selectively shaped 3D structures using additive manufacturing. The method includes forming undercuts on upper-level pedestals of the 3D structures that effectively act as overhanging deposition masks for selectively preventing deposition of a selected material on a corresponding portions of lower levels. The method includes simultaneously forming and electrically isolating materials directionally deposited on the 3D structure.
Interconnects for Electrical Components Positioned Adjacent to Vehicle Tires
Electrical connector assemblies mountable on a tire of a wheel of a vehicle are described. An electrical connector assembly may include one or more electrical conductors, a respective electrical conductor extending from an inside surface of the tire to an outside surface of the tire. Tire assemblies including at least partially embedded electrical connector assemblies and wheel assemblies including such tire assemblies are also described.
Wiring board and method for manufacturing wiring board
A substrate that is stretchable and that at least has a wiring region; wiring at least positioned in the wiring region on a first surface side of the substrate, the wiring having a meandering shape section that includes peaks and valleys aligned along a first direction that is one of planar directions of the first surface of the substrate; and a stretching control mechanism that controls extension and contraction of the substrate. The stretching control mechanism at least includes stretching control parts that are positioned in the wiring region of the substrate and that are aligned along the first direction.
Micro-electronic package with substrate protrusion to facilitate dispense of underfill between a narrow die-to-die gap
A substrate protrusion is described. The substrate protrusion includes a top portion that extends in a first direction toward a gap between the first die and the second die and in a second direction parallel to the gap between the first die and the second die. The substrate protrusion also includes a base portion that is coupled to a substrate that extends underneath the first die and the second die. An encapsulant is over the protrusion of the substrate, the encapsulant extending beneath the first die, and the encapsulant extending beneath the second die.
Component carrier and method of manufacturing the same
A component carrier includes a stack having a first electrically insulating layer structure and a first electrically conductive layer structure arranged on the first electrically insulating layer structure. The first electrically insulating layer structure has at least one first covered portion, which is covered by the first electrically conductive layer structure, and at least one first non-covered portion, which is not covered by the first electrically conductive layer structure. The first electrically insulating layer structure defines a recess at the at least one first non-covered portion.
