Electrical connector with flexible circuit and stiffener
An electrical connector includes a flexible circuit with a flexible material and traces at least partially embedded in the flexible material. The electrical connector further includes a first set of conductive bumps, a second set of conductive bumps, and a stiffener. The first set of conductive bumps is coupled to respective first end portions of the traces and extends from a first side of the flexible circuit. The second set of conductive bumps is coupled to respective second end portions of the traces. The stiffener is coupled to the flexible circuit on a second side of the flexible circuit opposite the first side.
Manufacturing method for electronic apparatus with case in which printed boards joined to each other are stored
A printed board joining method according to an embodiment includes preparing a printed board having, on an upper surface, a plurality of connection land portions provided along a side end, preparing a printed board having, on a lower surface, a plurality of connection land portions along a side end, and joining the printed board and the printed board together with a conductive joining material such that the upper surface is opposed to the lower surface and the plurality of connection land portions are electrically connected to the corresponding connection land portions. One or more cutout portions are provided between the plurality of connection land portions and/or between the plurality of connection land portions.
SECURITY SYSTEM WITH SMART CONNECTION MODULE
Systems and techniques are described for a sensor designed to connect to and monitor devices in an ecosystem. In some implementations, a system monitors a property that includes the sensor configured to generate sensor data reflecting an attribute of the property. The sensor includes a host board that generates the sensor data and a core board connected to the host board. The core board identifies a type of the host board and communicates with a monitor control unit. The monitor control unit receives a request for firmware associated with the type of the host board from the sensor. In response, the monitor control unit accesses the firmware and transmits the firmware to the sensor. The core board of the sensor receives the firmware and stores the firmware. The core board receives the sensor data from the host board and transmits the sensor data to the monitor control unit.
Connection device
A connection device connecting a plurality of PCB connectors with a printed circuit board includes a first positioning rib, a second positioning rib, and an elastic member between the first positioning rib and the second positioning rib. A distance between the first positioning rib and the second positioning rib is adjustable by deformation of the elastic member.
Edge Interconnects for Use With Circuit Boards and Integrated Circuits
A substrate assembly includes at least one printed circuit (PC) substrate. Each PC substrate includes a PC top surface and a PC bottom surface spaced from each other and an edge that runs at least partially about a periphery of the PC substrate between the PC top surface and the PC bottom surface. The edge includes or defines on a facet or edge surface of the edge at least one projection that extends transverse or normal to the facet or edge surface. The projection includes a projection top surface and a projection bottom surface spaced from each other and the projection can include or be made of conductive material.
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
A light emitting device includes: a substrate including: a flexible base member, a first wiring pattern located on the upper surface of the base member, the first wiring pattern including: a first component-side conductive portion, and a second component-side conductive portion, and a plurality of reinforcing lands located on the upper surface of the base member, the plurality of reinforcing lands including: a first reinforcing land, and a second reinforcing land; and a plurality of light emitting elements mounted on the substrate, each light emitting element being electrically connected to the first component-side conductive portion and the second component-side conductive portion.
Connector, device provided with the same and method of manufacturing the same
A connector has a main portion formed as a part of a multilayer wiring board and having a tongue shape. The multilayer wiring board is provided with a surface conductive layer and an inner conductive layer. The inner conductive layer is located apart from and inward of the surface conductive layer in an up-down direction. The main portion is provided with a grounding plate formed in the surface conductive layer and a plurality of contacts formed in the inner conductive layer. Each of the contacts is, at least in part, exposed and contactable in the up-down direction. Since the grounding plate and the contacts are formed in the conductive layers of the multilayer wiring board, the connector can possess desired electric characteristics in high accuracy.
MEMORY SYSTEM AND STORAGE DEVICE INCLUDING PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD WHERE CHANNEL GROUPS HAVE BOTH POINT TO POINT TOPOLOGY AND DAISY CHAIN TOPOLOGY
A memory system includes a printed circuit board, at least one memory chip mounted on the printed circuit board, and a memory controller arranged on the printed circuit board and connected to 2.sup.N (where N is an integer of 2 or more) channels, the memory controller configured to perform a write operation and a read operation on the at least one memory chip. In the printed circuit board, a first subset of the channels corresponds to a first channel group configured in a point to point topology, and a remaining subset of the channels corresponds to a second channel group configured in a daisy chain topology.
Retention of dual in-line memory modules
Embodiments are directed towards apparatuses, methods, and systems for a memory module, e.g., a dual in-line memory module (DIMM) including a first lengthwise edge along the DIMM and a second lengthwise edge, opposite the first lengthwise edge, to couple the DIMM with a printed circuit board (PCB). In embodiments, the DIMM includes one or more notches along the first lengthwise edge, to removeably couple with one or more flexible supports located at least partially along a length or width of a chassis and to engage the notches to assist in retention of the DIMM in the chassis to reduce a shock and/or vibration associated with a load of a plurality of DIMMs on the PCB. In some embodiments, the one or more flexible supports are coupled to a support structure, such as a pole mounted or otherwise coupled to a panel of the chassis. Additional embodiments may be described and claimed.
