Fuel canister and adapter for insect repellent device

A gas-fueled portable device for the thermal dispensing of volatile materials such as insect repellents is described. The device employs a pressure regulator to establish gas flow, heat generation, and dispensing temperature at pre-determined optimal values. The automatic operation at pre-determined settings provides simple on/off operation for the user of the device.

MULTI-FUEL-CANISTER INSECT REPELLENT SYSTEM

The invention provides a hydrocarbon-fueled device for heating and dispensing a volatile substance, such as an insect repellent. The device provides a long-lasting 48-hour fuel system, multiple fuel canisters that can be exchanged without interrupting the operation of the device, an illuminated indicator that provides a visible indication of the operating state of the device from any viewing angle, and a flame-extinguishing safety lid. During the warm-up phase, the indicator indicates this state by pulsing. Once the device reaches operating temperature, the indicator emits a steady light, indicating proper operation. In the event that the device cools below the operating temperature, the light will pulse, alerting the user to check the flame and/or fuel supply. The user can initiate complete, properly-controlled operation of all functions of the device via the operation of a single on-off switch.

The invention relates to a device for evaporating volatile substances, comprising a heat source (5) evaporating volatile substances from a refill (2), a heat detector (4) which can detect the heat from said heat source (5), and indicating means (7) connected to said heat detector (4) emitting an indication when the heat detector (4) detects the heat from said heat source (5), and characterized in that said heat detector (4) is placed above said heat source (5).

The invention allows the indicating means to be activated virtually in a simultaneous manner with the placement of the heat emitter.

Device for creating and distributing vaporized scent

A scent vaporizing and distribution device uses an electric heating element to rapidly vaporize a liquid scent material. An airflow generator is used to create a distribution airflow that distributes the vapor from the device. The airflow generator can be an electric-powered fan or a manually-powered pump or squeezable bladder. The liquid scent material can include a glycol or a water-glycol mixture. A scent material such as liquid or powdered deer urine or a pleasant scent that can be used as a room or automobile or room freshener is mixed with the liquid. The vapor generator can be removable and replaceable such that different scents can be used with a single airflow generator or an empty generator can be replaced.

Candle dispenser

Devices dispenser air treatment chemicals in response to heat generated by a candle. Heat transfer elements carry flame heat to an impregnated substrate that is positioned mostly or entirely below the candle. The air treatment chemical vapors are kept away from prolonged direct exposure to flame heat, thereby reducing heat degradation of the active. The candle automatically adjusts heat transfer rates to correct for decreasing amounts of active on the substrate as the substrate sears being used up.
