SURFACE MOUNT TECHNOLOGY TERMINAL HEADER AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
A surface mount technology (SMT) terminal header is described for providing an electrical connection to a first printed circuit board (PCB). The SMT terminal header includes multiple first electrically conductive connector elements each having a base configured for surface mount attachment to the first PCB, and an insulative housing having multiple cells and a fixation member configured to attach the housing to the first PCB. Each of the multiple cells is configured to at least partially house one of the multiple first electrically conductive connector elements. Each of the first electrically conductive connector elements includes a position assurance member configured to attach the first electrically conductive connector element to at least one of the multiple cells of the insulative housing.
Preformed Solder-in-Pin System
A preformed solder-in-pin system for use with electrical connectors. The preformed solder-in-pin system generally includes a connector pin having an open cavity at one end, into which a preformed solder member can be first inserted and then pressed, rather than melted, in place, such that voids and air spaces within the cavity are eliminated. The preformed solder-in-pin system can be assembled in high quantities, where the preformed solder members are placed in a fixture and the fixture is placed on a shaker table, so that large numbers of connector pins, pre-installed in connector grommets, can be inserted largely simultaneously.
RIBBON WIRE BOND
In a described example, an electrical apparatus includes a substrate having a first surface and lead pads on the first surface of the substrate for surface mounting components. A ribbon wire bond is provided having open ends and a central portion between the open ends, the open ends of the ribbon wire bond connected to the lead pads. An electrical component is bonded to the central portion of the ribbon wire bond. The central portion of the ribbon wire bond and the electrical component are spaced from the first surface of the substrate.
POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS
A power supply apparatus includes a board including a major surface on which a circuit element group is mounted, and a case attached to the board. The case includes a plate-shaped portion that is located at a distance from the board and faces the major surface, and a side wall portion extending from the plate-shaped portion toward one end portion of the board. One end of a specific circuit element among the circuit element group reaches the one end portion of the board, the one end of the specific circuit element being directed to the side wall portion. The side wall portion is provided with a notch portion with a shape corresponding to an outer shape of the one end of the specific circuit element.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD FOR BASE STATION ANTENNA
Printed circuit boards for a base station antenna include a substrate layer, and a first conductive trace and a second conductive trace which are printed on the substrate layer and cross each other. The first conductive trace has two trace sections separated by the second conductive trace. Adjacent ends of the two trace sections separated by the second conductive trace are connected electrically by a jumper. The jumper has an electrical conductor, is isolated electrically from the second conductive trace and is fixed on the printed circuit board. The electrical conductor and the two trace sections are connected electrically at adjacent ends. The printed circuit board allows flexible wiring of the conductive traces on the printed circuit board.
Method of integrating an electronic module with conductive fabric
An electronic module assembly and method of assembling an electronic module to a conductive fabric are provided. An electronic module assembly comprises a non-conductive fabric and a conductive fabric covering at least part of a first side of the non-conductive fabric. An electronics module is disposed on the conductive fabric, and a portion of the electronics module includes a wall defining a through hole. A fastener passing through the through hole and passing through the conductive fabric is configured to electronically couple the electronics module to the conductive fabric.
PCB ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Discussed is a PCB assembly and a manufacturing method of a PCB assembly in which at least two PCBs are electrically connected. The PCB assembly includes a connection metal pin having a body and legs, the body having electric conductivity, and having a pin shape elongated in one direction, a portion of the body being bent according to a predetermined angle of the at least two PCBs arranged in a rotated state, portions of the legs being bent and respectively extended in another direction from opposite ends of the body, the bent and extended portions of the legs being inserted through connection holes respectively formed in the at least two PCBs, and bent and extended terminals of the legs respectively being bent inward to be tightly fixed to lower surfaces of the at least two PCBs.
Electrical terminal and electrical connector thereof
An electrical terminal includes a terminal body, at least one interference lug, and at least one circuit connection part. The terminal body includes a front end and a back end in a longitudinal direction. The interference lug is arranged in parallel to the longitudinal direction and extends outwardly in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The at least one circuit connection part is connected to the terminal body. An electrical connector is also provided, and the electrical connector includes a base and the electrical terminal. The base includes at least one installation trough, and a guiding groove is arranged in the at least one installation trough, the at least one interference lug is adapted to slide into the guiding groove, so as to guide and position the electrical terminal.
HEATED PRESS-FIT CONNECTION
A press-fit insertion method is provided. The press-fit insertion method includes loading press-fit pins into a connector, heating a printed circuit board (PCB) defining plated through holes (PTHs) into which the press-fit pins are insertable and pressing the connector onto the PCB to insert the press-fit pins into the PTHs with the PCB remaining heated.
