Power electronics arrangement including a printed circuit board and at least one power module fastened on the printed circuit board, which has one or more electronic components potted by a potting compound. At least one module connecting point of the power module is electrically contacted with at least one board connecting point of the printed circuit board by an electrically conductive pin. A base section of the pin is fastened on the module connecting point or on the board connecting point, and the end of the pin opposite to the base section is pressed in the installation position into a contacting opening assigned or assignable to the respective other connecting point.
MOUNTING STRUCTURE, STRUCTURAL COMPONENT, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOUNTING STRUCTURE
A mounting structure has a first board, an extended portion which is extended from the end portion of the first board and has a smaller thickness than the first board, and a second board having a connection terminal connected to a connector. The second board is placed on the extended portion.
Thermally efficient connector system
A connector assembly can be provided. A receptacle includes terminals that can be positioned in a card slot on a 0.60 mm pitch (or greater). A biasing element can be provided in the card slot to engage a mating paddle card. The receptacle can be configured to allow air to flow from a front face to a rear face, the air passing through a middle wall. A plug assembly can be provided that includes a conductive body and is configured to generate some amount of heat. The body can include a surface that has cooling grooves. The cooling grooves allow air flow over the plug assembly so that the plug assembly can be cooled directly.
Conductive Terminal And Connector Assembly
A conductive terminal is adapted to electrically connect a wire to a circuit board. The circuit board has a through hole and solder pads on a surface of the circuit board. The conductive terminal comprises a base, a pair of mounting portions, and a pair of clamping portions. The base has a pair of opposing first edges, a pair of opposing second edges, and an insertion hole aligned with the through hole of the circuit board. The mounting portions include a pair of solder portions extending outwardly from the first edges and parallel to the base. The solder portions are each adapted to be soldered to one of the solder pads of the circuit board. The clamping portions extend obliquely toward each other from the two second edges of the base and are adapted to clamp a conductor of the wire inserted through the insertion hole and the through hole.
CONTACTING ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE CONTACTING ARRANGEMENT
A contacting arrangement between an electrical component and a circuit carrier, the component being connected to a connection element formed as a part separate from the component, and the connection element being electroconductively contacted directly with the circuit carrier via at least one press-fit connection.
PRESS-FIT POWER MODULE AND RELATED METHODS
Implementations of semiconductor packages may include: one or more die electrically coupled to a lead frame. The lead frame may be included within a housing. The semiconductor package may also include a set of signal leads extending from the housing, a set of power leads extending from the housing, and a plurality of press fit pins each fixedly coupled to the set of signal leads and the set of power leads. The set of signal leads and the set of power leads may be configured to couple with a substrate.
CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING CIRCUIT BOARDS AND BUS BARS
According to some aspects of the present disclosure, circuit board assemblies are disclosed. Example circuit board assemblies include a printed circuit board having a first surface and a second surface, and defining an opening having at least one side extending from the first surface to the second surface. The assembly also includes a bus bar having a first surface, a second surface, and at least one side. The bus bar is secured in the opening of the printed circuit board via a press-fit, such that a slot is defined between the at least one side of the bus bar and the at least one side of the opening defined by the printed circuit board. The assembly further includes an electrical lead positioned in the slot, and solder disposed between the electrical lead and the bus bar to electrically couple the electrical lead and the bus bar.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
A connector for connection to a substrate for mounting electronic devices. The connector includes a plurality of coupling contacts pivotably disposed within a housing. Each coupling contact is generally H-shaped and defines opposing first and second spaces. The connector also includes one or more mounting contacts partially disposed within the housing. Each mounting contact has a fastening structure joined to a bar section. The fastening structure is adapted for securement to the substrate and the bar section is disposed in a second space of at least one of the coupling contacts.
Contact assembly
An electrical contact assembly includes an electrically nonconductive base, a first electrical contact supported by the base and a second electrical contact supported by the base such that the first contact and the second contact are separated by a space. The first electrical contact is configured to engage a first external conductive circuit element and the a second electrical contact is configured to engage a second external conductive circuit element. The first contact and the second contact are configured such that a portion of the first contact and a portion of the second contact converge as the base moves in a first direction relative to the first and second external conductive circuit elements and diverge as the base moves in a second direction relative to the first and second external conductive circuit elements.
Low profile electrical connector
A connector and a connector assembly for electrically connecting an electrical cable to a circuit board is described. The connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of self-supporting terminals. Each of the self-supporting terminal has a retaining portion retained in a corresponding receiving through hole disposed through the housing, a contact portion extending from an upper end of, and perpendicular to the retaining portion such that the contact portion is disposed on an upper surface of the housing and a press-fit portion extending from a lower end of, and substantially parallel to the retaining portion, wherein the press-fit portion extends down from the lower surface of the housing. The connector electrically and physically connecting a conductive wire of an electrical cable with a conductive via of a circuit board by inserting each press-fit portion of the self-supporting terminals into said conductive via.
