DEVICE FOR FREEZING AND TRANSFERRING GRAFT AND METHOD OF FREEZING AND TRANSFERRING GRAFT
20230200377 · 2023-06-29 · ·

An object of the present invention is to provide a unit capable of efficiently and quickly detaching a graft from a device without causing damage or wrinkles. The above problem has been solved by a medical device that transfers a graft to a target site, the medical device including the graft and a support with the graft placed on one surface, in which the graft and the support are frozen in a state where the graft is placed, and the graft can be detached from the support and transferred to the target site by thawing the frozen graft placed on the support.

Cryogenic vial assemblies

Vial assemblies comprise a tubular body and a cap, the cap including a first portion configured to abut a lip of an open end of the tubular body, a threaded portion configured to couple to threading on an internal surface of the tubular body, and a second portion protruding from the threaded portion and extending into a cavity of the tubular body. Methods for storing and removing frozen samples from such vial assemblies are also described.

Stem cell manufacturing system, stem cell information management system, cell transport apparatus, and stem cell frozen storage apparatus

A stem cell manufacturing system for manufacturing stem cells from somatic cells includes: one or more closed production device(s) configured to produce stem cells from somatic cells; one or more drive device(s) configured to be connected with the production device(s) and drive the production device(s) in such a manner as to maintain the production device(s) in an environment suitable for producing stem cells; one or more cryopreservation device(s) configured to cryopreserve the produced stem cells; a first memory device configured to store whether or not somatic cells have been introduced to the production device(s), as a first state; a second memory device configured to store whether or not the production device(s) is/are connected with the drive device(s), as a second state; and a third memory device configured to store whether or not the produced stem cells can be placed in the cryopreservation device(s), as a third state.

The disclosure provides for a container system and method for the cryopreservation and resuspension of a body fluid. The container system may include a cryopreservation container comprising the body fluid in a cryopreservation liquid, a resuspension container comprising a resuspension solution, a connection tube sterilely connecting the cryopreservation container and the resuspension container, and at least one shut-off element actively associated with the connection tube.

APPARATUS TO FACILITATE TRANSFER OF BIOLOGICAL SPECIMENS STORED AT CRYOGENIC CONDITIONS

A system and method facilitates transfers of specimen containers (e.g., vials with caps) between storage cassettes and carrier cassettes. The storage cassettes are designed to be stored in cryogenic refrigerators while the carrier cassettes are designed to be temporarily stored in a portable carrier. Identification information is read from wireless transponders carried by the specimen containers. Visual mappings of the positions of the specimen container in the cassettes is provided. Presence and position of the specimen containers in the cassettes is verified, and alerts of inconsistencies provided along with corrective commands. Inventories of specimen container and even specific specimen holders are provided.

CONTAINER WITH BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS HAVING MULTIPLE SEALED PORTIONS
20230189793 · 2023-06-22 · ·

An apparatus is disclosed having a first layer coupled to a second layer via a plurality of seals to define a storage volume that is separable by at least one intermediate seal into a first volume and a second volume. The intermediate seal is applicable after a material is introduced into the storage volume storage. The apparatus includes a first opening into the storage volume and a second opening into the storage volume. The first opening and the second opening are positioned near opposite edges. The apparatus also includes a first frangible region positioned along the intermediate seal and configured for separation of the first volume and the second volume.
