Synergistic biting arthropod repellent formulations
This disclosure relates to a method for the control or repellency of biting arthropods. The method comprises bringing the biting arthropods into contact with a biting arthropod repellent formulation. The biting arthropod repellent formulation comprises nootkatone in combination, or in synergistic combination, with skin or plant derived compounds and compounds structurally similar to them (e.g., ketones, cyclic ketones, esters, gamma or delta lactones, and branched and/or unsaturated carboxylic acids), and/or one or more repellents selected from the group consisting of DEET®, para-menthane-3,8-diol (PMD), Picaridin, ethyl 3-[acetyl(butyl)amino]propanoate (IR3535), and other nitrogen-containing repellents including amines, amides, and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds. This disclosure also relates to a biting arthropod repellent formulation comprising nootkatone in combination, or in synergistic combination, with the skin or plant derived compounds and compounds structurally similar to them, and/or the one or more repellents.

Antimicrobial composition
The present disclosure relates to the field of antimicrobial compositions. More particularly, it concerns the use of a composition as an antimicrobial agent, the composition comprising ingredients selected from the group consisting of: (i) nona-2,6-dien-1-ol in combination with at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of 3-neopentylpyridine, 2-methylhexan-3-one oxime, terpineol and 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol; (ii) gamma-dodecalactone in combination with at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of 1-Methyl-4-(1-methylethenyl)-cyclohexene, 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde, and 1,3-Benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde; (iii) (Z)-3,7-Dimethyl-2,6-octadien-1-ol and gamma-dodecalactone; (iv) cis-4(Isopropyl)cyclohexanemethanol and 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde; and (v) 1,3-Benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde and 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde, wherein the ingredients are present in an amount sufficient to provide an antimicrobial effect. The composition and its use for the preparation of antimicrobially active perfuming compositions and consumer products are also objects of the disclosure.
Antimicrobial composition
The present disclosure relates to the field of antimicrobial compositions. METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING ARTHROPOD REPELLENTS AND ATTRACTANTS, AND COMPOUNDS AND COMPOSITIONS IDENTIFIED BY SUCH METHODS
Provided herein are screening methods for identifying compounds for use as an arthropod repellent based on the masking or inhibition of the detection of the skin odor by a cpA neuron. Provided herein are also screening methods for identifying compounds for use as an arthropod attractant based on activation of the cpA neuron. Further provided are one or more compounds identified using the screening methods described herein, and compositions containing such compounds.

ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF THEIR USE
The present disclosure is directed to antimicrobial compositions comprising a hypochlorite salt, a copper (II) salt, and an optionally acid that is an inorganic acid, an organic acid, or a combination thereof, and optionally a buffering agent, and having a chlorine concentration of between 0.1 ppm and 300 ppm and a copper (II) concentration of between 0.1 ppm and 300 ppm. Methods of making and using these compositions is also described.
