A display device includes a pixel array disposed on a base substrate, a side terminal electrically connected to the pixel array, a connection pad including a first side surface contacting a side surface of the side terminal, and a driving device bonding to a second side surface of the connection pad, where the second side surface is opposite to the first side surface. The side terminal includes a resistance-reducing layer and an upper conductive layer, the resistance-reducing layer includes a first conductive material, the upper conductive layer is disposed on the resistance-reducing layer and includes a second conductive material having an oxidation resistance greater than the first conductive material. A portion of the upper conductive layer is disposed between the connection pad and the resistance-reducing layer such that the resistance-reducing layer is spaced apart from the connection pad.
Display stack with integrated photodetectors
An electronic device includes a frame and a display stack. The frame defines a first part of an interior volume. The display stack includes a cover attached to the frame. The cover may define a second part of the interior volume. The display stack also includes an array of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) including an array of emissive electroluminescent (EL) regions, and at least one organic photodetector (OPD) disposed between the cover and at least one emissive EL region in the array of emissive electroluminescent regions. The at least one emissive EL region emits light through the at least one OPD. In alternative embodiments, the OLEDs may be stacked on the OPDs, or the OLEDs and OPDs may be interspersed with each other instead of stacked.

A display device includes a window, a display module disposed under the window, and a protection tape that is disposed on a rear surface of the display module and that protects the display module. The protection tape includes an insulating base layer including a first area and a second area, an adhesive layer disposed between the insulating base layer and the rear surface of the display module in the second area, and a step layer disposed on the insulating base layer in the first area. An end of the protection tape is located further outward than an end of the window with respect to a center area of the display module, and the step layer and the insulating base layer are not integrally formed with each other.

The display substrate includes a plurality of light emitting elements, a pixel defining layer, and an encapsulation layer; the encapsulation layer includes a first inorganic encapsulation layer, a first organic encapsulation layer, and a second inorganic encapsulation layer; the display panel includes a display region and a frame region including a cutting region and a dam glue region where a dam glue is located; at least one of the plurality of cover plate alignment marks is between the dam glue and the display region and is overlapped with the second inorganic encapsulation layer, and at least one of the plurality of cover plate alignment marks is between the dam glue and the cutting region.

A display device includes a display panel including a folding area at which the display device is foldable and unfoldable; a first casing and a second casing arranged in a first direction along the display panel, the first casing and the second casing spaced apart from each other at the folding area; a third casing between the first casing and the second casing along the first direction, the third casing corresponding to the folding area; and a cover facing the display panel with the third casing therebetween, the cover connected to each of the first casing and the second casing. Folding and unfolding of the display device respectively includes extension of the cover from of the first casing and retraction of the cover into the first casing.
