Provided is a display device. The display device includes a flexible display panel configured to display an image, and a window disposed on a display surface of the flexible display panel. The window includes a first protection layer, a thin film glass layer disposed on the first protection layer, and a second protective layer disposed on the thin film glass layer.

A method for manufacturing a display device includes the steps of: providing a first display panel including a first indicia and a second indicia; disposing a first window including a third indicia on the first display panel; identifying a position of the first indicia and a position of the third indicia; aligning the first display panel and the first window using the positions of the first and third indicia; coupling the first window and the first display panel to each other; identifying a coupled position defined by positions of the second and third indicia of the first display panel and the first window; correcting a position of a second display panel or a position of a second window based on the coupled position; and coupling the second window and the second display panel to each other.

A sensor assembly includes a cover layer and a first sensor apparatus. The cover layer is molded from a first material to have a planar surface and non-uniform thickness, where a thickness of the first material at a first region of the cover layer is less than a thickness of the first material surrounding the first region. The first sensor apparatus is disposed beneath the planar surface of the cover layer, within the first region. The first sensor apparatus is configured to transmit and receive first capacitive sensing signals through a portion of the planar surface coinciding with the first region. For example, the first sensor apparatus may be a fingerprint sensor configured to detect a fingerprint on the portion of the planar surface coinciding with the first region based on changes in the first capacitive sensing signals.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can include a display panel configured to display an image, a polarizing plate over the display panel, a front member over the polarizing plate, and a protection member over the front member. The protection member can include at least two protection films and an adhesive layer disposed between the at least two protection films.

A foldable display apparatus, a method of manufacturing the same, and a controlling method of the same are disclosed. The foldable display apparatus includes a substrate including a metal thin film and an insulating layer provided on the metal thin film, an organic light-emitting unit formed on the substrate and emitting light in an direction away from the substrate, and a thin film encapsulating layer for encapsulating the organic light-emitting unit. The foldable display apparatus may be folded in a direction such that the metal thin film is exposed.

A display panel includes an upper display substrate, a lower display substrate, and a partition wall. The upper display substrate includes a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area. The display area includes pixel areas and a light blocking area adjacent to the pixel areas. The lower display substrate includes display elements configured to emit light having a first color and respectively overlapping the pixel areas. The partition wall includes a partition wall part overlapping the light blocking area and a reflection part disposed on the partition wall part. The upper display substrate includes a base substrate, a color filter layer disposed on the base substrate, and a light control layer disposed on the color filter layer. The light control layer is configured to control the light having the first color. The partition wall is disposed on the light control layer.

A display device is provided. The display device includes a substrate including a display area, an opening area disposed in the display area, a first non-display area at least partially surrounding the display area, and a second non-display area at least partially surrounding the opening area. A display layer is disposed in the display area. An encapsulating substrate covers the display layer and has an opening corresponding to the opening area. A sealing portion is disposed between the encapsulating substrate and the substrate. The sealing portion is disposed in the opening area and connects the encapsulating substrate to the substrate. A partition wall is disposed between the substrate and the sealing portion.

The flexible display device may include a display panel, including a display area, a non-display area and a bending area, bent in a rear direction so that one edge of the display panel has a predetermined curvature, a first back plate and a second back plate, disposed on a rear surface of the display panel, a cushion tape disposed on a rear surface of the first back plate, and a fixing tape, disposed between the cushion tape and the second back plate, made of an adhesive layer in the bending area. Accordingly, there is an effect of improving the quality of the flexible display device by reducing the peeling defect of the bending area.

A display apparatus may include: a cover member comprising a hole area; a light shielding layer, an adhesive layer and a display layer that are disposed under the cover member; a first opening provided at the adhesive layer and the display layer corresponding to the hole area; a camera module inserted into the first opening; and an intermediate member disposed between the hole area and the camera module.

A display panel includes a first substrate including a display portion configured to display an image, a second substrate attached to the first substrate by an adhesive member, and a vibration generating module within the adhesive member to overlap the display portion. The vibration generating module is surrounded by the second substrate and the adhesive member.
