WHITE LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME
A white light emitting device, or more particularly an inverted white light emitting device, includes a plurality of stacks configured to emit white light, and an optical compensation layer provided at an outer surface of an electrode through which light is emitted to the outside. The configuration reduces the thickness of an electron transport layer adjacent to a cathode in the stack and therefore reduces the driving voltage and improves the viewing angle characteristics and as well as the efficiency.

Provided is a display apparatus comprising: a display substrate including a substrate and a display element disposed over the substrate; and an encapsulation layer disposed over the display substrate and including an inorganic encapsulation layer and an organic encapsulation layer, the inorganic encapsulation layer shielding the display element, wherein a control groove configured to control a position of an end of the organic encapsulation layer is provided in at least one of the inorganic encapsulation layer and an upper surface of the display substrate, wherein the end of the organic encapsulation layer does not overlap the control groove, or the organic encapsulation layer overlaps only a portion of the control groove.

A display device may include a pixel electrode, a pixel defining layer on the pixel electrode and having a pixel opening that exposes at least a portion of the pixel electrode, an emission layer on the pixel electrode in the pixel opening, an opposite electrode on the emission layer, a first refractive layer on the opposite electrode and having a refractive opening, the first refractive layer having a first refractive index, and a second refractive layer on the first refractive layer and having a second refractive index greater than the first refractive index. A maximum inclination angle of a sidewall of the first refractive layer exposed by the refractive opening with respect to a lower surface of the first refractive layer may be between about 65 degrees and about 90 degrees.

A viewing angle switchable display device includes: a substrate having at least one subpixel; a plurality of transistors in the at least one subpixel on the substrate; first and second light emitting diodes in the at least one subpixel on the substrate, the first and second light emitting diodes connected to two, respectively, of the plurality of transistors; and an integrated lens on the first and second light emitting diodes, the integrated lens including a half cylindrical lens corresponding to the first light emitting diode and a half spherical lens corresponding to the second light emitting diode.

A viewing angle switchable display device includes: a substrate having at least one subpixel; a plurality of transistors in the at least one subpixel on the substrate; first and second light emitting diodes in the at least one subpixel on the substrate, the first and second light emitting diodes connected to two, respectively, of the plurality of transistors; and an integrated lens on the first and second light emitting diodes, the integrated lens including a half cylindrical lens corresponding to the first light emitting diode and a half spherical lens corresponding to the second light emitting diode.
