MULTI-ELEMENT PRESCRIPTION LENSES WITH EYE-TRACKING
The disclosed embodiments are generally directed to optical systems. The optical systems may include a proximal lens that may transmit light toward an eye of a user. The optical systems may also include a distal lens that may, in combination with the proximal lens, correct for at least a portion of a refractive error of the eye of the user. The optical systems may further include a selective transmission interface. The selective transmission interface may couple the proximal lens to the distal lens, transmits light having a selected property, and does not transmit light that does not have the selected property. The optical system can also include an accommodative lens, such as a liquid lens. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
MULTILAYERED FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND USE THEREOF
To provide a piezoelectric film that is less likely to be electrified and that can be safely handled. A multilayered film according to an embodiment of the present invention including: a piezoelectric film containing polyvinylidene fluoride; and a protective film including an antistatic layer, the piezoelectric film and the protective film being bonded.
FLUORINE-CONTAINING POLYMER FILM
An object is to provide a fluorine-containing polymer film. The object can be achieved by a fluorine-containing polymer film having a thermal shrinkage of 0.4% or less after being heated at 90° C. for 1 hour, and having a relative permittivity of 3 to 50 at 25° C. at 1000 Hz, or a fluorine-containing polymer film having a crystallinity of 50% or more and an elongation at break of 400% or more.
PROJECTION OPTICAL SYSTEM AND SEE-THROUGH DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A projection optical system includes a base, a mirror on the base, and a pair of first actuators provided between the base and the mirror, and facing each other. Each of the pair of first actuators includes a first electroactive polymer film having a size that varies according to an applied voltage, and a slope of the mirror is adjusted according to a change in the size of the first electroactive polymer film.
Vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene containing polymers latexes
The invention provides novel latexes of particles of vinylidene fluoride/trifluoroethylene copolymers possessing a more ordered ferroelectric crystalline phase, and hence improved ferro-, pyro-, and piezo-electric properties, and a method for manufacturing the same by emulsion polymerization in the presence of certain cyclic fluorosurfactants.
Nanovoided electroactive polymer devices, systems, and methods
An electroactive device may include (1) an electroactive polymer element having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the electroactive polymer element comprising a nanovoided polymer material, (2) a primary electrode abutting the first surface of the electroactive polymer element, and (3) a secondary electrode abutting the second surface of the electroactive polymer element. The electroactive polymer element may be deformable from an initial state to a deformed state by application of an electrostatic field produced by a potential difference between the primary electrode and the secondary electrode. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
Displacement sensor, displacement detecting device, and operation device
A displacement sensor having a rectangular shaped elastic member. A piezoelectric element is attached to a first main face of the elastic member. The piezoelectric element has a rectangular-shaped piezoelectric sheet and electrodes on both main faces of the piezoelectric sheet. The piezoelectric sheet is made of poly-L-lactic acid and is at least uniaxially-stretched. The piezoelectric element is attached so that the uniaxial-stretching direction of the piezoelectric sheet is 45° relative to a long-side direction of the elastic member. When the elastic member is bent along the long-side direction, the piezoelectric sheet is stretched along the long-side direction, and the piezoelectric element generates voltage of predetermined level.
PIEZOELECTRIC POLYMER FILM
An object of the present invention is to provide a piezoelectric polymer film having excellent piezoelectric characteristics. The object is achieved by providing a piezoelectric polymer film including a piezoelectric layer containing lead zirconate titanate particles in a matrix that contains a polymer material, and an electrode layer provided on each of both surfaces of the piezoelectric layer, in which a Raman shift of a maximum peak present in a range of 190 to 215 cm.sup.−1 in a Raman spectrum of the piezoelectric layer is 205 cm.sup.−1 or less.
PIEZOELECTRIC POLYMER FILM
An object of the present invention is to provide a piezoelectric polymer film having excellent piezoelectric characteristics. The object is achieved by providing a piezoelectric polymer film including a piezoelectric layer containing lead zirconate titanate particles in a matrix that contains a polymer material, and an electrode layer provided on each of both surfaces of the piezoelectric layer, in which a Raman shift of a maximum peak present in a range of 190 to 215 cm.sup.−1 in a Raman spectrum of the piezoelectric layer is 205 cm.sup.−1 or less.

The intraocular lens (IOL) can have anterior and posterior portions spaced apart by a cavity, and an actuator for urging change in curvature in at least one of said portions, with energy provided by an energy harvesting mechanism incorporated into haptics of said IOL.
