20170076839 · 2017-03-16 ·

A shielded electrical cable includes a conductor set and a shielding film. The conductor set includes one or more substantially parallel longitudinal insulated conductors. The shielding film includes a cover portion partially covering the conductor set, and parallel portions extending from both sides of the conductor set.

Wiring member

A wiring member includes a first sheet including a fusion layer, a second sheet, and at least one first wire-like transmission member provided between the first sheet and the second sheet. The first sheet and the second sheet are fixed to each other via the fusion layer in a direction intersecting with a longitudinal direction of the first wire-like transmission member.

Electrical cable with dielectric foam

Electrical cables and optical waveguides are disclosed as including an electrically insulative foam. The electrically insulative foam can coat at least one electrical conductor of the electrical cable. The electrically insulative foam can coat the optical fiber of the waveguide. The electrically insulative foam can also define a waveguide.

Electrical cable with electrically conductive coating

Electrical cables are disclosed can include at least one electrical conductor, an inner electrical insulator that surrounds the at least one electrical conductor, and an electrical shield disposed about the inner electrical insulator. The electrical cables can include an electrically conductive material disposed between adjacent layers of the electrical cable. In one example, an electrical coating can be disposed in the electrical shield, for instance, in regions of overlap. Flowable electrically conductive materials are also disclosed that can flow into gaps during operation of the electrical cable.

LEAD-FREE POWER CABLE

There is provided a method of manufacturing a power cable, the power cable including at least a cable core and a lead-free metallic water barrier surrounding the cable core, the method including heating at least a first portion of the lead-free metallic water barrier; surrounding the first portion of the lead-free metallic water barrier with a heat-activatable adhesive layer; and surrounding at least a portion of the adhesive layer with a reinforcement layer, where the adhesive layer adheres to the water barrier and to the reinforcement layer.
