Reinforced superconducting wire, superconducting cable, superconducting coil and superconducting magnet
A reinforced superconducting wire (1a) has a superconducting core strand (2) and a first cladding with a multitude of reinforcing strands (3). The reinforcing strands (3) are arranged around the circumferential surface of the superconducting core strand (2) in a non-crossing manner and are in contact with the core strand (2). The wire has a reinforcement for enhancing its mechanical properties against external stresses and for preventing diameter expansion during heat treatment. In addition to other advantages, such superconducting wire can be produced with an easy and low-cost production process.
ARMOURED POWER CABLE
An armoured power cable (10) comprises a cable core (11) and an armour layer (21) comprising a plurality of armouring wires (22) laid around the cable core (11), wherein at least 10% of the armouring wires (22) are wavy wires (23) having a zig-zag shape laying on the outer surface of the cable core (11).
Cable
A cable includes a line for signal transmission or power source supply, a first metal wire having flexibility and a shape-retaining property, a plurality of yarns extending substantially in the same direction as that of the first metal wire, and a coating material for coating the line, the first metal wire, and the plurality of yarns.
Multiple conduits bundled together in a combination conduit configuration
Example embodiments provide a device that includes a main cable jacket including one or more sub-cable jackets, and each of the sub-cable jackets includes a number of conduits.
ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
An electric connector is disposed between a connection terminal of a first device and a connection terminal of a second device, and electrically connects these connection terminals. The electric connector includes a resin layer, and a plurality of metal wires extending through the resin layer in a thickness direction, and having a rectangular shape on surfaces to be connected to the connection terminals. At least first sides of the rectangular shapes of the metal wires are arranged at equal intervals along the same direction. The length of short sides of the rectangular shapes are less than 5 m.
Low voltage electric power cable
A low voltage electric power cable includes at least two insulated conductors arranged together in a bundle, at least one foil extending around the bundle, and an outer sheath extending around the at least one foil. A recess is formed between two insulated conductors. The low voltage electric power cable includes an elongated member, the elongated member being arranged between the at least one foil and the outer sheath, and extending adjacent to the at least one foil along the recess. The elongated member is arranged with a clearance fit underneath the outer sheath.
Cable having shielding tape with conductive shielding segments
A cable includes a first twisted pair of insulated conductors, a second twisted pair of insulated conductors, a shielding tape, and an outer jacket surrounding the first twisted pair of insulated conductors, the second twisted pair of insulated conductors and the shielding tape. The shielding tape includes a substrate and a plurality of conductive shielding segments. The plurality of conductive shielding segments is disposed on the substrate. Each conductive shielding segment is spaced from each immediately adjacent conductive shielding segment in a longitudinal direction.
Self-supporting overhead telecommunication/power cable
A self-supporting overhead telecommunication/power cable includes a supporting portion and a transmission portion mutually arranged according to a figure-8 configuration. The transmission portion includes at a central position thereof, an optical fibre conductor and, at a radially outer position with respect to the optical fiber conductor, electrical conductors stranded around the optical fiber conductor. Preferably, the electrical conductors are grouped into sub-units which are stranded around the optical fiber conductor to provide a mechanical protection thereto.
