Fire resistant coaxial cable
A fire-resistant coaxial cable is described in which the dielectric between the central conductor and outer coaxial conductor can ceramify under high heat. The dielectric is composed of a ceramifiable silicone rubber, such as that having a polysiloxane matrix with inorganic flux and refractory particles. An outer wrap of ceramic fiber yarn surrounds the outer conductor and continues to insulate it from the outside if a low smoke zero halogen jacket burns away. Embodiments include those with durable corrugated outer conductors or flexible braided outer conductors. Methods of testing and installation are described.
Cable with aerogel dielectric
The present invention is a cable made from a braided polyethylene terephthalate cable sleeve. Inside the cable sleeve is a sequence of four shielding layers; a braided copper wire layer, a braided silver-plated copper wire layer, and two braided carbon fiber layers. Within the fourth shielding layer is a polytetrafluoroethylene inner sleeve containing a particulate aerogel dielectric, with an approximate particle diameter from 2 micrometers to 1.2 millimeters, and a conductive metal core with a mirror polish.
SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR AN RF SIGNAL CARRYING CABLE OF A MULTI-PACK LAUNCHER SYSTEM
Systems, devices, and methods including a launch control box; a multi-pack launcher (MPL) box; and a cable connecting the launch control box and the MPL box, where the cable comprises: an outer jacket, a shielded braid, a first wire, a second wire, a third wire, and a fourth wire, where the first wire and the second wire are shielded by the shielded braid, where the third wire and the fourth wire are outside of the shielded braid, and where the third wire and the fourth wire act as an antenna.

SHIELDED COMMUNICATION CABLE
Disclosed is a shielded communication cable containing a parallel electric cable containing a pair of insulated wires arranged parallel to each other without being twisted. The shielded communication cable exhibits excellent noise shieldability and hardly generates signal propagation time difference. The shielded communication cable contains a parallel electric cable containing a pair of insulated wires arranged parallel to each other. Each of the insulated wires contains a conductor and an insulation coating that covers the conductor. A braided shield containing elemental wires braided together and a film-shaped shield containing a metal film are arranged at an outer circumference of the parallel electric cable.
BARREL CRIMP RETENTION FEATURE FOR CONNECTOR WITH BRAIDED WIRE
A cable assembly includes coaxially arranged inner and outer barrels. The outer barrel overlaps a portion of the inner barrel. The cable assembly further includes a cable that has at least one wire surrounded by an inner insulator that is covered in a metallic shield. The metallic shield is arranged in between the inner and outer barrels. The inner barrel includes a retention feature that is arranged beneath the metallic shield. The retention feature protrudes radially outward from the inner barrel to an outermost diameter. The outer barrel includes a crimped portion that is arranged adjacent to the retention feature and has an innermost diameter that is less than the outermost diameter to capture the metallic shield therebetween and prevent the outer barrel from axial movement relative to the inner barrel.
BARREL CRIMP RETENTION FEATURE FOR CONNECTOR WITH BRAIDED WIRE
A cable assembly includes coaxially arranged inner and outer barrels. The outer barrel overlaps a portion of the inner barrel. The inner and outer barrels respectively include first and second features that cooperate with one another to form a retention feature. The cable assembly has a cable that has at least one wire surrounded by an inner insulator that is covered in a metallic shield. The metallic shield is arranged in between the inner and outer barrels. The first feature is arranged beneath the metallic shield, and the second feature is arranged over the metallic shield. At least one of the first and second features extends in a radial direction relative to the other of the first and second features to capture the metallic shield with the retention feature.
Cable
A cable is composed of a cable core including one or more electric wires, a braided shield covering a periphery of the cable core and including braided metal wires, a sheath covering a periphery of the braided shield, and a cushion layer provided between the cable core and the braided shield. The cushion layer is composed of a braid including braided linear shape fiber yarns.
End structure and sleeve of shielded cable
An end structure of a shielded cable 10 includes a core 11, an insulator 12 for covering the core 11, a foil 13 for covering the insulator 12, a braided wire 14 for covering the foil 13, a sheath 15 for covering the braided wire 14 and a sleeve 17 arranged between the braided wire 14 and the foil 13 exposed from an end part of the sheath 15. The end part of the sheath 15 and the sleeve 17 are separated from each other to form a clearance 50.
Wire harness
A wire harness including: a wire; a cover that covers the wire; and a braid made of resin that covers the wire, wherein: the wire protrudes from a first end of the cover to an outside of the cover, and a space is formed between the wire and the first end, and the braid is provided at a position that overlaps the first end of the cover in a longitudinal direction of the wire and is exposed to the outside of the cover.
