MAGNETIC MOUNTING SYSTEM
A magnetic mounting system configured to mount various items onto a surface or structure while allowing for ease of customization of the mounted item without damaging the surface or structure. The magnetic mounting system comprising a plate including a front surface and a back surface, at least one plate mount, and at least one display mount. The plate is received by the at least one plate mount at the back surface of the plate and the at least one display mount is received by the plate at the front surface. The at least one display mount is configured to receive an item, such that the item can be mounted to the front surface of the plate. The at least one plate mount is configured to be coupled to a wall or surface, such that the plate can be removably mounted to the wall or surface.
Magnetic substance holding device
A magnetic substance holding device includes: a first pole piece assembly comprising at least one first pole piece, at least two second pole pieces, and at least two first permanent magnets; a second pole piece assembly comprising at least one third pole piece, at least two fourth pole pieces, and at least two second permanent magnets; a coil; and a control device. The first pole piece assembly and/or the second pole piece assembly is configured to be movable such that they are switched between a first arrangement in which the second faces of the first pole piece assembly are spaced apart from the first faces of the second pole piece assembly, and a second arrangement in which the second faces of the first pole piece assembly come in contact with the first faces of the second pole piece assembly. The control device controls holding and detaching of a workpiece on and from the first faces of the first pole piece assembly or the second faces of the second pole piece assembly, by way of controlling electric current applied to the coil to switch between the first arrangement and the second arrangement.
VARIABLE FIELD MAGNETIC COUPLERS AND METHODS FOR ENGAGING A FERROMAGNETIC WORKPIECE
Magnetic coupling devices are disclosed which may be configured in at least three states. The various states may be provided through one or more of altering a position of a permanent magnet relative to another permanent magnet and altering a current level in a coil surrounding a permanent magnet.
Inspection apparatus and inspection system for inspecting access-restricted spaces and areas
This relates to an inspection apparatus for inspecting a structural component to which access is restricted, comprising a movable unit including a superconductor and an inspection device, a drive unit including a magnetic field generator adapted to generate a magnetic field, wherein said movable unit and said drive unit are arranged with a predetermined gap therebetween for receiving said structural component and are coupled in a force-locking manner by means of the frozen magnetic flux, i.e., without a physical connection, between the magnetic field generator and the superconductor. Thus, spaces or areas to which access is restricted can be inspected without the need of physically connecting the drive unit and the movable unit.
Magnet chuck
A magnet chuck includes, for example, four permanent magnets of a first permanent magnet through a fourth permanent magnet, serving as an attracting and retaining member for attracting and retaining a workpiece. In the first permanent magnet and the third permanent magnet, the magnetic polarity of a workpiece magnetic attracting surface facing the workpiece is of an N-polarity. On the other hand, in the second permanent magnet and the fourth permanent magnet, the magnetic polarity of a workpiece magnetic attracting surface is of an S-polarity. More specifically, in this case, combinations of the N-pole and the S-pole on the workpiece magnet attracting surface are formed in two pairs, and the N-pole and the S-pole, which are of different polarities, are adjacent to one another.
Selective magnet pick-up component
Metal and other magnetized objects are often dropped into hard-to-reach, magnetic-rich places where a retrieval tool will often latch onto the surrounding metal, all but the target object. This makes the retrieval of the target object with an ordinary magnet very difficult or sometimes even impossible. The invention relates to a magnetic retrieval tool with a selectively on/off component, allowing the magnetic force to be exerted only when the target becomes localized. Said magnetic force or field, will be encapsulated either by shielding, or by a second magnet that will neutralize the magnetic field turning the magnet off until the object is reached.
LINEARLY ACTUATED MAGNETIC COUPLING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to magnetic coupling devices. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to magnetic coupling devices configured to be linearly actuated and de-actuated.
Apparatus for releasing magnetic crawler from ferromagnetic operating surface
An apparatus for releasing a magnetic crawler from a ferromagnetic operating surface has a ramp fabricated from lightweight non-magnetic materials. The ramp includes a base portion, inclined upper portion for receiving a magnetic crawler, a front end and a rear end. Ferromagnetic members are positioned on the top surface of the upper portion and configured to be magnetically attached to the tracks or wheels of a magnetic crawler. Magnets are positioned on the bottom portion and configured to be magnetically attached to a ferromagnetic operating surface upon which the magnetic crawler operates. In some embodiments, the lightweight non-magnetic materials are highly buoyant.
Magnet and method for handling metal sheets
The present invention relates to a magnet, which comprises a body and a slide that is movably arranged inside a cavity of the body. The slide that comprises a permanent magnet is moved relative to the body by transferring a medium into and out of the cavity. The invention also relates to a method for handling metal sheets.
Magnet and actuator
The present invention provides a magnet, which comprises a body having a first and a second section, and a slide arranged to be movable relative to the body between a first and a second position. The slide comprises a permanent magnet, and a first and a second pole piece that are attached to opposite magnetic pole surfaces of the permanent magnet. The first section comprises a hole that opens into a first cavity of the body, the bottom of the first cavity being delimited at least partly by the second section. The slide is movably arranged in the hole so that the second pole piece is directed towards the bottom of the first cavity, wherein at the first position of the slide, magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet is short-circuited by the first section, and at the second position of the slide, magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet is directed through the first and the second section.
