Electrical contact system
An electrical contact system includes a static contact having a static contact point, a movable contact having a movable contact point, a rotating member on which the movable contact is mounted, and an arc extinguishing device having an arc extinguishing sheet. The movable contact is rotatable with the rotating member between a switch-on position and a switch-off position. When the movable contact is rotated to the switch-on position, the arc extinguishing sheet is rotated beyond a contact area between the movable contact point and the static contact point, allowing electrical contact of the movable contact point with the static contact point. When the movable contact is rotated to the switch-off position, the arc extinguishing sheet is rotated into the contact area between the movable contact point and the static contact point, electrically isolating the movable contact point from the static contact point and cutting off an electric arc.
ELECTRICAL SWITCH CONTACT SETS
Electrical switch contact sets are disclosed. A disclosed example apparatus includes a movable platform having first and second contacts, where the first and second contacts electrically coupled via the movable platform, and a stationary portion having third and fourth contacts, where the movable platform is movable to bring the first and second contacts in contact with the third and fourth contacts, respectively, to simultaneously close a current path of an electrical circuit associated with the first, second, third and fourth contacts.
Double throw switch operating mechanism
A switching mechanism includes an actuator rotatable between an off position and an on position; and a timing disc assembly that includes an actuator disc, a bias disc, and a switch disc arranged in a stack. The actuator disc is rotatably connected to the actuator. The bias disc is connected to at least one biasing mechanism. The switch disc is connected to a switch. The actuator disc is configured to engage the bias disc such that the actuator disc is configured to rotate the bias disc to an overcenter position of the at least one biasing mechanism. The overcenter position of the at least one biasing mechanism is configured to rotate the bias disc such that engagement between the bias disc and the switch disc is configured to rotate the switch disc between a closed position and an open position of the switch.
ELECTRODE FOR A CIRCUIT BREAKER AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER
The disclosure relates to the field of circuit breakers, in particular to an electrode for a circuit breaker and the circuit breaker, wherein the electrode includes an electrical terminal configured to input and output electrical power to the electrode, a stationary contact electrically connected to the electrical terminal and fixed to the electrical terminal, a movable contact configured to rotatably engage the stationary contact, an arc chute arranged on the electrical terminal and adjacent to the stationary contact, and a magnetic member arranged to generate a magnetic field force when the movable contact is disconnected from the stationary contact so as to push an arc formed between the movable contact and the stationary contact towards the arc chute.
Switching device
A switching device including a frame, a first fixed contact member having a first contact area, and a first movable contact member having a first contact arm provided with a contact area. The first movable contact member is adapted to pivot relative to the frame around a first pivoting axis between a first position and a second position. The switching device includes a spreader member that is adapted to provide a first intermediate position for the first movable contact member in which a projection of the contact area of the first contact arm overlaps at least partially with a projection of the first contact area on a switch plane perpendicular to the first pivoting axis while the contact area of the first contact arm is spaced apart from the first contact area.
RELAY CONTACTOR WITH COMBINED LINEAR AND ROTATION MOTION
A relay contactor is provided and includes a shaft assembly comprising a plate, which is movable between an open position at which the plate is displaced from leads and a closed position at which the plate contacts the leads and an actuation system configured to selectively move the plate into the closed position. At least one of the shaft assembly and the actuation system is configured such that, as the plate moves into and away from the closed position, a movement of the plate relative to the leads comprises at least a non-linear, rotational or an abnormally linear component.
Relay
A relay includes a housing, an electric contact system in the housing, an electromagnetic system in the housing, and a magnetic blowing arc-extinguish device. The electric contact system includes a static contact with a static contact portion and a movable contact with a movable contact portion. The electromagnetic system is configured to drive the movable contact to move between a closed position in which the movable contact is in electrical contact with the static contact and an opened position in which the movable contact is separated from the static contact. The magnetic blowing arc-extinguish device includes a permanent magnet statically provided near the static contact and configured to lengthen an electric arc between the static contact portion and the movable contact portion by an electromagnetic force to extinguish the electric arc.
Electrical switch
An electrical switch. The electrical switch comprises at least one fixed contact, a movable contact contacting the fixed contact, and at least one extinguishing apparatus positioned after the fixed contact in an opening direction of the movable contact. A permanent magnet is further positioned after the extinguishing apparatus in the opening direction of the movable contact.
ROTARY SWITCH AND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER INCLUDING THE SAME
A rotary switch includes a housing having an interior and an exterior, a plurality of moving contacts entirely disposed within the interior of the housing, a plurality of stationary contacts disposed partially within the interior of the housing and extending to an exterior of the housing, and a rotary element coupled to the plurality of moving contacts and being structured to rotate between a closed state where at least one of the plurality moving contacts contact a corresponding one of the plurality of stationary contacts and an open state where the plurality of moving contacts and the plurality of stationary contacts are separated.
Fuse switch module
The invention refers to a low-cost fuse switch module that comprises a pair of fixed contacts and a rotary contact rotatable about a rotation axis located in-between the fixed contacts. The rotary contact is rotatable between a closed position in which it is connected with the fixed contacts to enable current circulation, and an open position in which the rotary contact is electrically isolated from the pair of fixed contacts. An overcurrent protection fuse is provided for limiting maximum current circulation through the contacts in the closed position, and the fuse is rotatable about the axis and it is arranged to operate as the rotary contact of the switch, such as by rotating the fuse about the rotation axis, the switch reciprocally transit from the closed to the open position.
