A magnetic type keyswitch includes an actuating member and a switch unit. The actuating member is movable in response to a pressing force. The switch unit includes a circuit board, a Hall sensor electrically connected to the circuit board, and a magnet spaced apart from the Hall sensor by a fixed distance. When the pressing force is not applied, the magnet enables the Hall sensor to output a first voltage, and when the pressing force is applied, the actuating member moves relative to the magnet and the Hall sensor in response to the pressing force, so that the Hall sensor outputs a second voltage different from the first voltage, and the magnetic type keyswitch generates a triggering signal.

Keyboard

A keyboard includes a substrate, a display member, and a keyswitch assembly. The display member is disposed over the substrate. The keyswitch assembly includes a keycap, a fixing element, two balance bars, and a position-returning member. The keycap is located over the substrate and has a light-transmitting portion located over the display member. The fixing element is disposed on the substrate and has a retaining slot. Each of the balance bars includes a rod portion and an end portion. The rod portion is rotatably engaged with the keycap. The end portion is movably retained in the retaining slot. The position-returning member abuts against the keycap above the substrate and is adjacent to an edge of the keycap.

A linking portion of the base plate protruding upward penetrates through the membrane switch layer such that a contact portion of the membrane switch layer is located proximate to the linking portion. A connecting section of the balance bar passes through a through hole of the linking portion. The at least one buffer layer is formed on a lower surface of the contact portion, and extends along a first lateral path and a second lateral path. The contact portion supports the connecting section to abut against a top wall of the linking portion. When the keycap moves upward and downwards, the connecting section pivotally slides on the contact portion, between the first lateral path and the second lateral path.

An electronic device includes an enclosure and a keyboard positioned within the enclosure. The keyboard includes a substrate and a key mechanism. The key mechanism includes a keycap support mechanism, a keycap supported by the keycap support mechanism and movable relative to the substrate, a ferromagnetic component attached to the keycap support mechanism, and a selectively magnetizable magnet. The selectively magnetizable magnet system may include a magnetizable material and a coil configured to selectively magnetize and demagnetize the magnetizable material. The key mechanism may include a collapsible dome biasing the keycap toward the extended position.

The present disclosure provides a keyswitch comprising a baseplate, a circuit layer, an elastic part, a thin film, a keycap, and a linkage component. The circuit layer is disposed on the baseplate. The baseplate penetrates and is exposed from the circuit layer. The elastic part is disposed on the circuit layer. The thin film is disposed on the circuit layer. The thin film is provided with an opening. The baseplate penetrates and is exposed from the opening. The elastic part protrudes from the opening. The keycap is disposed above the elastic part and covers the elastic part. Two ends of the linkage component are respectively connected to the baseplate and the keycap. The elastic part is disposed in the linkage component. The linkage component drives the keycap to move up and down relative to the baseplate. The thin film is disposed on the movement path of the keycap.
