Electric arc extinction chamber
10242814 · 2019-03-26 · ·

An electric arc extinction chamber comprises a stack of electric arc splitter plates. The splitter plates define an inlet of the extinction chamber that is to be present facing electric contacts, and a back of the extinction chamber. At least one permanent magnet is present inside the extinction chamber in a central zone in the width direction of the extinction chamber and beside the back thereof. The magnet presents magnetization having a non-zero component along an axis extending between the inlet and the back of the extinction chamber.

QUENCHING PLATE ARRANGEMENT FOR A SWITCHING DEVICE
20180174775 · 2018-06-21 ·

A quenching plate arrangement for a switching device has plural quenching plates for arc splitting and/or lengthening; a guiding plate, the quenching plates being arranged substantially next to one another to firm a stack, the guiding plate laterally delimiting the stack, the guiding plate protruding beyond the quenching plates in a main extension direction; and a DC-suitable switching device having a first contact and a second contact, at least the second contact being movable relative to the first contact, a first and second running rail arrangement for conducting an arc with respective first and second current directions, the two running rail arrangements having respective first and second running rails, the two first and two second running rails respectively running in opposite directions from the first and second contacts, and the first running rails being connected in an electrically conducting manner in closed loop form, with the quenching plate arrangement.

Power Contactor with High Mechanic Shock Resistance
20180005773 · 2018-01-04 · ·

A power contactor having an electromagnetic driving unit, a rotating armature, and a reset element. The rotating armature is switched by the electromagnetic driving unit between an open position and a closed position. The reset element exerts a reset force onto the rotating armature when in the closed position.

ELECTRIC SWITCH
20260120970 · 2026-04-30 ·

An electric switch comprising a frame, a first stationary contact, a rotating contact and a plurality of arc extinguisher members is described. The plurality of arc extinguisher members has a guide protrusion system configured to guide an electric arc generated during an opening event of the electric switch to a tortuous path in which the electric arc advances in the plurality of arc extinguisher members in a lateral direction parallel to a rotation axis of the rotating contact thereby lengthening the electric arc. The guide protrusion system comprises a plurality of guide protrusions each protruding from a body part of the corresponding arc extinguisher member towards an adjacent arc extinguisher member and providing the shortest route for the electric arc between the two arc extinguisher members.
