The present disclosure relates to a motion sensing device for a vacuum circuit breaker and a vacuum circuit breaker comprising same. In the present disclosure, the motion sensing device for a vacuum circuit breaker is provided with a push rod assembly coupled to a movable electrode of a vacuum interrupter to elevate or lower the movable electrode, wherein the motion sensing device comprises: a sensor module spaced apart from the push rod assembly and arranged to face a side of a rod housing; and a sensing unit installed on a side of the push rod assembly and arranged to face the sensor module that senses the movement of the sensing unit.

Electrical breaking contact

An electrical breaking contact, in particular a radial-magnetic-field electrical breaking contact, is provided for a medium-voltage vacuum interrupter, the contact including: a rod extending along a longitudinal axis, said rod being configured to be passed through by an electrical current, a contact body extending transversely to the longitudinal axis and including a first fastening surface, the contact body and the rod being coaxial, wherein the rod includes: a second fastening surface securely fastened to the first fastening surface, an abutment surface radially exterior to the first fastening surface (4), the abutment surface being distant from the contact body along the longitudinal axis and turned toward the contact body.

Universal vacuum interrupter for air disconnect switches

The invention relates to a universal vacuum interrupter (UVI) (30) for an air disconnect switch (100) comprising a rotatable actuating arm (21) arranged for engagement by a corresponding contact (16), such as a roller, attached to the main blade (12) of an air disconnect switch (100). In particular, the actuating arm (21) comprises two rods (22) extending next to each other and adapted for receiving the corresponding contact (16) of the main blade (12) between them. The two rods (22) are movable to alter the distance between them but are biased together by biasing means (24), e.g. helical springs. As the corresponding contact (16) of a main blade (12) will be in engagement with both rods (22) during disconnection and reconnection of the air disconnect switch (100), arcing is thereby prevented. Preferably, the two rods (22) of the UVI (30) are made of aluminium.

VACUUM CIRCUIT BREAKER

A vacuum circuit breaker includes: a vacuum valve that is insulated and supported inside a grounded tank; a movable-side frame connecting a lower end of a movable-side external conductor to a movable conductor; a stationary-side frame connecting a lower end of a stationary-side external conductor to a stationary conductor; a movable-side insulating support tube that supports the movable-side frame and insulates thereof from the grounded tank; a stationary-side insulating support tube that supports the stationary-side frame and insulates thereof from the grounded tank; a movable-side flange covering a movable-side end of the grounded tank; and a rubber piece on an inner peripheral surface of the movable-side flange. The movable-side insulating support tube is supported, at an end opposite from an end connected to the movable-side frame, by the movable-side flange via the rubber piece and is movable along an axis and a radius of an arc-extinguishing chamber.

Operating mechanism for a switch

The invention relates to a device for operating a switch having an operating lever for moving the switch between the open and closed position and an operating pin arranged to a moving part of the switch, wherein the device comprises a primary shaft, a secondary shaft arranged coaxially with the primary shaft, a coupling arranged between the primary shaft and the secondary shaft, a spring, a control lever extending in a radial direction from the primary shaft, a latch having a disengage lever extending in a radial direction from the primary shaft and a roller movable into the path of the disengage lever to limit rotation of the primary shaft in the first rotational direction; and, a reset lever extending in a radial direction from the secondary shaft.

Vacuum break switch shock absorber

An underarm gang operated vacuum break switch (underarm switch) has an electrically live portion under a mounting arm, which provides advantages over the standard vacuum break switch, which have the electrically live portion above the mounting arm. Because the non-electrified mounting arm is above the electrified portion, the underarm switch is safer for perching birds and other wildlife. The nature of the underarm switch also provides other benefits including a disconnect blade that when opened creates a visual gap to ensure electrical discontinuity along with a safety locking arm tied to deactivating the underarm switch. Adding to the safety measures is a visual indicator that shows an electrician when the switch is live and safe to open the disconnect blade. Other safety measures include a shock absorber assembly and inertia slowing mass protecting electrical contacts within the vacuum break switch from failing.

Electric switching device for a railway vehicle and railway vehicle comprising such a device

This electric switching device (2) comprises a first module (4), including a first support (42) on which a circuit breaker (44) is mounted, and at least one second module (6), including a second support (62) on which an electric component (64) is mounted that is able to be associated with the circuit breaker. In particular in order to facilitate the maintenance of this switching device, the latter includes guiding means (81 and 82) that are able to guide the first and second supports relative to one another between a disassembled configuration, in which at least one of the first and second modules is disengageable from the guiding means independently of the other, and an assembled configuration, in which the circuit breaker and the electric component are in a relative connection position and are able to be electrically connected to or disconnected from one another.
