Kinetic actuator for vacuum interrupter
An actuator for circuit interrupter has a stationary magnetic boss, a movable magnetic armature and a drive rod. The drive rod is aligned on an axis of the circuit interrupter. The drive rod has two stable positions, circuit interrupter closed and circuit interrupter open. The drive rod has a surface that the armature contacts to move the drive rod from the circuit interrupter closed position to the circuit interrupter open position. In the circuit interrupter closed position, the armature and the surface are separated by a pre-travel distance. The armature is to move towards the stationary magnetic boss and contact the surface, to initiate a circuit interrupter disconnecting motion of the drive rod with a transfer of momentum to the drive rod.
ELECTRIC SWITCHING DEVICE FOR A RAILWAY VEHICLE AND RAILWAY VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE
This electric switching device (2) comprises a first module (4), including a first support (42) on which a circuit breaker (44) is mounted, and at least one second module (6), including a second support (62) on which an electric component (64) is mounted that is able to be associated with the circuit breaker. In particular in order to facilitate the maintenance of this switching device, the latter includes guiding means (81 and 82) that are able to guide the first and second supports relative to one another between a disassembled configuration, in which at least one of the first and second modules is disengageable from the guiding means independently of the other, and an assembled configuration, in which the circuit breaker and the electric component are in a relative connection position and are able to be electrically connected to or disconnected from one another.
SYSTEM FOR ACTUATING A VACUUM BOTTLE
A system for actuating a vacuum bottle of an electrical device, the vacuum bottle comprising a fixed electrode and a moving electrode that is mobile along a longitudinal axis between a closed position and an open position. The actuating system comprises an adjusting nut that is rotatably mobile about the longitudinal axis and driven by a drive device to perform an opening movement of the moving electrode, and an adjusting screw engaging with the adjusting nut in order to vary the moment when the drive device drives the moving electrode. The moving electrode is constrained to translate along the longitudinal axis with the adjusting screw, but is free to rotate relative to the adjusting screw, and the rotation of the adjusting screw is limited by blocking means.
Vacuum break switch
An underarm gang operated vacuum break switch (underarm switch) has an electrically live portion under a mounting arm, which provides advantages over the standard vacuum break switch, which have the electrically live portion above the mounting arm. Because the non-electrified mounting arm is above the electrified portion, the underarm switch is safer for perching birds and other wildlife. The nature of the underarm switch also provides other benefits including a disconnect blade that when opened creates a visual gap to ensure electrical discontinuity along with a safety locking arm tied to deactivating the underarm switch. Adding to the safety measures is a visual indicator that shows an electrician when the switch is live and safe to open the disconnect blade. Other safety measures include a shock absorber assembly and inertia slowing mass protecting electrical contacts within the vacuum break switch from failing.
Motion sensing device for vacuum circuit breaker and vacuum circuit breaker comprising same
The present disclosure relates to a motion sensing device for a vacuum circuit breaker and a vacuum circuit breaker comprising same. In the present disclosure, the motion sensing device for a vacuum circuit breaker is provided with a push rod assembly coupled to a movable electrode of a vacuum interrupter to elevate or lower the movable electrode, wherein the motion sensing device comprises: a sensor module spaced apart from the push rod assembly and arranged to face a side of a rod housing; and a sensing unit installed on a side of the push rod assembly and arranged to face the sensor module that senses the movement of the sensing unit.
Breaking device for a medium voltage electrical circuit
A device for switching a medium-voltage electrical circuit, including: a vacuum interrupter including a mobile electrode, an actuating lever linked to the mobile electrode and mobile between an opening position and a closing position, an insulator linked to the actuating lever, a control fitting secured to the mobile electrode, and an elastic return, for example, a spring, exerting a return force between the control fitting and the insulator, wherein a travel of displacement of the actuating lever is greater than the opening distance such that the control fitting is distanced from the insulator when the actuating lever is in the closing position. The switching device further including an indicator stem secured to the control fitting, which is configured to extend at least partly out of the insulator when the actuating lever is in the closing position.
AUTOMATIC DROP-OUT AND RESET OF A VACUUM INTERRUPTER DEVICE IN A CUTOUT MOUNTING
An actuation assembly that is part of and operates to open and close a cut-out mounted switching device. The actuation assembly includes components that cause the switching device to be released from an upper coupling assembly when the actuation assembly opens the switching device and causes the switching device to be closed when the switching device is dropping out of the coupling assembly.
Vacuum interrupter for use in a low voltage, low current residential circuit breaker
A vacuum interrupter is provided for use in a low voltage residential circuit breaker. The vacuum interrupter comprises a sealed vacuum tube. The sealed vacuum tube is being closed at a first end with an end plate and closed at a second end with an end spring. The vacuum interrupter comprises a first contact terminal passing through the end plate and having a fixed contact near a distal end of the first contact terminal. The vacuum interrupter comprises a second contact terminal having a free end. The second contact terminal passing through the end spring and having a movable contact being configured to contact the fixed contact of the first contact terminal. The end spring is configured to receive a force on the free end of the second contact terminal to provide open or close operations of the vacuum interrupter.
VACUUM BREAK SWITCH SHOCK ABSORBER
