SHORT-CIRCUITING DEVICE FOR USE IN LOW-VOLTAGE AND MEDIUM-VOLTAGE SYSTEMS FOR PROTECTING PARTS AND PERSONNEL
The invention relates to a short-circuiting device for use in low-voltage and medium-voltage systems for protecting parts and personnel, comprising a switching element which can be operated by the tripping signal of a fault detection device, two mutually opposite contact electrodes having power supply means, wherein contact can be made with said contact electrodes at an electrical circuit having connections at different potentials, furthermore, in at least one of the contact electrodes, a moving contact part which is under mechanical prestress and executes a movement to the further contact electrode in a manner assisted by spring force in the event of a short circuit, a sacrificial element as spacer between the contact electrodes and also having an electrical connection between the sacrificial element and the switching element on the one hand and one of the contact electrodes on the other hand, in order to cause current flow-induced thermal deformation or destruction of the sacrificial element in a targeted manner. According to the invention, the moving contact part is in the form of a hollow cylinder which is closed on one side and a spring for generating prestress is used in the hollow cylinder. The hollow cylinder is guided in a movable manner in a complementary cutout in the first contact electrode so as to form a sliding contact. In the region of the base of the closed hollow cylinder, the cylinder wall of said hollow cylinder is configured to turn into a cone on its outer circumferential side. Furthermore, starting from the base, a first pin-like extension which is situated opposite a second pin-like projection which is insulated from the contact electrodes is arranged in the interior of the hollow cylinder, wherein the sacrificial element, in the form of a bolt or screw, is arranged between the first and the second pin-like projection. A cutout which is matched to the external cone of the moving contact and has an internal cone is provided in the second contact electrode, wherein the external cone and internal cone form a bounce-free short-circuit contact region with a force-fitting and interlocking connection on account of the plastic deformation which occurs.
Thermal fuse
The present invention discloses a thermal fuse having dual metal elastic clamps, comprising: an insulating cylindrical tube; a first metal cap, a temperature sensing chamber formed by the first metal cap, the second metal tube and the inner side wall of the middle part of the through hole. The temperature sensing chamber axially arranges a plurality of components in the following sequence: a compressed spring; an insulating supporting pillar; a second metal elastic clamp; a connecting pillar a first metal elastic clamp; an organic temperature sensing body capable of melting when heating. The first metal elastic clamp, the second metal elastic clamp and the connecting pillar forms a movable conductive bridge. The movable conductive bridge slides flexibly in the temperature sensing chamber and has low contacting resistance with the first metal cap and the second metal tube. The above structure can withstand large current and has high reliability.
Electrode material for thermal-fuse movable electrode
The present invention is an electrode material constituting a movable electrode of a thermal fuse, having a five-layer clad structure including a core material layer, an intermediate layer formed on the both sides of the core material layer, and a surface layer formed on the intermediate layer, wherein the core material layer includes Cu, the intermediate layer includes an AgCu-based alloy, the surface layer includes an AgCuO-based oxide-dispersed strengthened alloy, and the ratio of the thickness of the intermediate layer to the thickness of the surface layer (intermediate layer/surface layer) is 0.2 or more and 1.0 or less. This electrode material can be manufactured by partially internally oxidizing a three-layer clad material in which plate materials made of an AgCu-based alloy are clad-jointed to both sides of the plate material made of Cu.
Temperature-sensitive pellet type thermal fuse
A temperature-sensitive pellet type thermal fuse having a cylindrical metal case (11), a first lead (1) fixedly installed and insulated from the case (11) and a second lead (2) electrically connected to the case (11). A temperature-sensitive pellet (12) is installed by melting inside the case (11) and has a variable height. A moving terminal (16) is elastically coupled by a first spring (17) to the temperature-sensitive pellet (12) and an activating member (15) moves in a height decrease direction of the temperature-sensitive pellet (12) by an elastic repulsive force of a second spring (18). When the temperature-sensitive pellet (12) is melted and thereby is reduced in height, a first moving contact (16b) of the moving terminal (16) is separated from a first contact (1a) of the first lead (1).
Protective structure, socket, plug and method assuring a live wire and a neutral wire to be powered off simultaneously when overheating
The present invention discloses a protective structure, plug, socket and method assuring a live wire and a neutral wire to be powered off simultaneously when overheating. The present invention limits a live wire spring plate from contacting with a live wire conductive plate, and a neutral wire spring plate from contacting with a neutral wire conductive plate, such that when the live wire spring plate and the live wire conductive plate are overheated or the neutral wire spring plate and the neutral wire conductive plate are overheated, the live wire spring plate, the live wire conductive plate, the neutral wire spring plate and the neutral wire conductive plate can be separated apart at a same time.
Thermal cut-off device for high power applications
A temperature fuse assembly for a high-power DC circuit is provided. The temperature fuse assembly includes a case extending from a first case end to a second case end and an isolated lead projecting from the second case end. A bushing electrically isolates the isolated lead from the case. A high-gauge wire is electrically connected to the case at a first wire end and electrically connected to the isolated lead at a second wire end. A portion of the high-gauge wire is helically wound about an exterior of the bushing. When a temperature of the temperature fuse assembly exceeds a threshold temperature, the temperature fuse assembly is configured to conduct a DC current of the high-power DC circuit through the high-gauge wire. The high-gauge wire is configured to melt under a load of the DC current and interrupt the high-power DC circuit.
