Electromagnetic Relay
An electromagnetic relay includes a base having a receiving space, an electromagnetic unit disposed outside of the receiving space, a magnetically attractive member magnetically attractable by the electromagnet unit, a first stationary contact disposed in the receiving space, a second stationary contact, a movable terminal member and a movable contact. When the electromagnetic unit is energized, the movable terminal member is pushed by the magnetically attractive member and the movable contact contacts one of the first and second stationary contacts. When the electromagnetic unit is de-energized, the movable contact contacts the other one of the first and second stationary contacts.

An electromagnetic relay includes a base, an electromagnet disposed on the base, an armature unit having a magnetically attractive member magnetically attractable by the electromagnet, a movable terminal unit mounted on the armature unit and including a first terminal member and a first contact, and a stationary terminal member mounted on the base. The first terminal member is a two-piece structure composed of a spring plate and a first leg. A ratio of the thickness of the first leg to the thickness of the spring plate ranges from 2 to 4. When the electromagnet is energized and de-energized, the first contact contacts andmoves away from the second contact, respectively. A method of making the electromagnetic relay is also disclosed.
TERMINAL AND RELAY
Provided is a terminal of a relay constituted by an assembly of a plurality of members, with which plastic deformation can be prevented, and a relay including the terminal. A movable terminal of the relay is constituted by an assembly of a first member having two legs, and a second member having a contact, wherein the second member has at least three holes, the first member has at least three protrusions which are individually inserted into and crimped in the at least three holes, and an intermediate hole among the at least three holes is arranged so as to be positioned on the side opposite the contact with respect to a straight line that contacts the edges of the outermost holes on the side close to the contact.
RELAY
Examples of a relay are described, with which the characteristics of the relay such as the operating voltage can be prevented from changing, even when impact is applied to the relay. The relay has an electromagnet, an armature which pivots about a pivot axis by excitation of the electromagnet, a pressing member attached to a tip of the armature, and a terminal which is pressed by the pressing member, wherein the armature comprises a plate-like insertion part which extends in a direction parallel to the pivot axis, and a guide groove provided in the insertion part and which extends in a direction parallel to the pivot axis, and the pressing member comprises an enclosure which is open on one end, and a part of the enclosure is inserted into the guide groove.

An electromagnetic relay includes a fixed contact part including a fixed terminal and a fixed contact connected to the fixed terminal, a movable contact part including a movable contact spring and a movable contact connected to the movable contact spring, an armature to which the movable contact part is connected, an electromagnet configured to move the armature, a magnet configured to stretch an arc generated between the fixed contact and the movable contact, and a first arc extinguishing plate and a second arc extinguishing plate configured to extinguish the stretched arc. The fixed contact and the movable contact are disposed between the first arc extinguishing plate and the second arc extinguishing plate. The magnet is disposed between a first pair of the fixed contact part and the movable contact part and a second pair of the fixed contact part and the movable contact part.
ARMATURE OF RELAY
A relay includes a case and a coil unit is located in the case. Multiple first legs each have the first end thereof connected to the coil unit, and the second end thereof extending beyond the case. A second leg has the first end thereof located in the case and forms a contact, and the second end of the second leg extends beyond the case. A third leg includes an upright section and a transverse section which extends from the upright section and located in the case. The upright section has one end thereof extending beyond the case. An armature has a connection section connected to the transverse section, and a main section located beneath the contact. The connection section increases conductive area and flexibility of the armature in the case.
