High voltage DC relay
10276335 · 2019-04-30 · ·

A latching relay includes a first coil, a second coil and a common plunger operatively connected between the first and second coils such that activation of the first coil moves the plunger to a first position and activation of the second coil moves the plunger to a second position. The latching relay also includes a limit switch having a common contact and first and second coil contacts. A position of the common contact is alternately switched between electrical connection to either the first or second coil contact based on a position of the plunger. The first and second coil contacts are electrically connected to the first and second coils, respectively such that when electrical power is applied to the common contact, the electrical power is alternately applied to either the first coil or the second coil depending on the position of the common contact.

Electromagnetic actuator and method for controlling an electromagnetic actuator

A method for controlling an electromagnetic actuator including: applying a first control strategy in which first and third switches are kept in a closed state, whereas a second switch is switched between its open and closed states; detecting an occurrence of overconsumption of current in a coil of the actuator, by detecting that voltage measured on a control bus has exceeded a predefined voltage limit or by detecting that a duty cycle of the second switch has dropped below a threshold value; and in response, applying a second control strategy, instead of the first control strategy, in which the third switch is periodically opened in order to decrease the current supplied to the coil.

MAGNETIC MOMENTUM TRANSFER GENERATOR

A magnetic momentum transfer generator utilizes three or more magnets aligned with each other. A first control magnet is positioned outside a coil. A second magnet is positioned within the windings of the coil and a third magnet is positioned on the opposite side of the coil opposite the control magnet. When the control magnet rotated or moved, mutual magnetic flux lines generated by all three magnets and passing through the coil winding are aligned at right angles to the coil, thereby inducing a maximum voltage at the terminals. This generator is particularly useful for short burst radio micro-transmitters that can be used for battery-less and wireless switching applications.

A contact piece structure includes two movable contact pieces arranged side by side. Each movable contact piece includes a piece body, a movable contact and a static contact located at opposite ends of the piece body. The movable contact and the static contact of one of the movable contact pieces correspond to the static contact and the movable contact of the other movable contact piece respectively so as to form a parallel circuit structure when the contacts being in contact; Bending portions of two piece bodies are arranged one-to-one to form a bending pair; in each of the bending pairs, top ends of two bending portions are parallel with each other; two bending portions protrude along a same protruding direction, a first distance between the two bending portions is smaller than a second distance between the two ends of two piece bodies.
