Disconnect operating handles suitable for circuit breakers and related bucket assemblies and handle interlocks
Disconnect operating handles for circuit breakers are configured with a rotary handle attached to an inwardly oriented shaft that connects to a gear assembly that translates rotational input to linear input. The disconnect operating handles include pivoting lockout levers that can automatically pop out to expose the lockout space for a padlock when a user touches the lever in an appropriate location.
Bucket assemblies for motor control centers (MCC) with disconnect assemblies and related MCC cabinets and methods
Circuit breakers with a rotary handle attached to an inwardly oriented shaft that connects to a gear assembly that translates rotational input to linear input also include a trip assist spring in communication with the rack gear so that, in operation, the trip assist spring applies a force to the operator slider and forces the handle to a consistent trip position.
Temporary restriction of access to circuit breakers
A circuit breaker can actuate to a closed condition and to an open condition. An assembly for the circuit breaker can include an obstacle that can be positioned to obstruct one form of actuation while permitting another form of actuation. The obstacle can be moved from the obstructing position to allow multiple forms of actuation. The obstacle may permit manual actuation of the circuit to an open state in any position.
Rotary lockout tagout latch system
A latch system for an electrical equipment enclosure includes a chassis and a latch arm, engaged with a circuit breaker, that moves between first, second, and intermediate arm positions. A handle operatively connected to the circuit breaker is movable between ON, TRIP, OFF, and RESET handle positions. The handle is operatively connected to the latch arm such that the latch arm is positioned in the second arm position when the handle is located in said RESET handle position. The latch arm spring biases the latch arm into the first or intermediate positions when the handle is in the ON, TRIP, or OFF handle position. A lockout plunger is connected to the handle to rotate with the handle and is movable between disengaged and engaged positions. The lockout plunger prevents movement of the handle from the OFF to the ON handle position when the lockout plunger is in its engaged position.
ROTATION SHAFT STRUCTURE, TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, OPERATION MECHANISM AND SWITCHING DEVICE ASSEMBLY
The present application relates to a rotation shaft structure, a transmission system, an operation mechanism, and a switching device assembly. The rotation shaft structure includes a rotation shaft, being capable of rotating between a first rotation position and a second rotation position, and further configured to be capable of translating between a first translation position and a second translation position in a direction along a rotation axis of the rotation shaft; a blocking assembly, being capable of switching between a first posture and a second posture; and a cooperative blocking member, when the blocking assembly is in the first posture, the cooperative blocking member is out of a translation path of the rotation shaft from the first translation position to the second translation position, when the blocking assembly is in the second posture, the cooperative blocking member is in the translation path.
