POWER DISTRIBUTOR WITH PLUG-IN ELECTRONICS
The power distributor for vehicles according to the present disclosure includes at least the following components: an electronic attachment and a central distributor module with a printed circuit board for electrical components, a feed-in busbar to connect the printed circuit board to a feed-in terminal, and a cable directly connected to the power distributor. The electronic attachment accommodates the ESD-sensitive electronic components and serves to switch and where applicable to diagnose the electrical components on the printed circuit board and can be connected to the printed circuit board by a plug-in contact with several terminals. According to the present disclosure, the advantages of the printed circuit board for unbundling the signals to the various electrical components are combined with the advantages of a separate electronic attachment.
BATTERY TERMINAL FUSE MODULE
A fuse module including an battery clamp, a fuse assembly including a mounting block, a bus bar on a first side of the mounting block in contact with the battery clamp, fuse terminals on a second side of the mounting block connected to the bus bar by fusible elements, and a terminal post extending through one of the fuse terminals for facilitating electrical connection to a first electrical component, the fuse module further including a mounting cradle holding the fuse assembly and the battery clamp, the mounting cradle including a mounting post extending through the battery clamp, the bus bar, the mounting block, and one of the fuse terminals for facilitating connection to a second electrical component and for securing the fuse module components together, wherein the mounting post is surrounded by a tubular sleeve extending between the bus bar and the fuse terminal through which the mounting post extends.
EXPANDABLE BLADE-TYPE DISTRIBUTION BLOCK
A distribution block element having opposed input and output couplings and integral complimentary mechanical connectors to additional adjacent distribution block elements, allowing expansion by addition of distribution block elements. Fuse couplings are spaced apart for a mini2 blade fuse and have a length that is are spaced apart for a maxi APX heavy duty fuse and for direct conductors. When two elements are connected adjacently, the spacing between the adjacent crossbar couplings is the same as the spacing between the opposed input and output fuse couplings in each element. Thus, identical crossbar conductors can be used both for electrically connecting opposed input and output couplings and for electrically connecting input couplings of adjacent elements.
Expandable distribution block
A distribution block element having dual-level opposed input and output couplings and integral mechanical connectors to additional adjacent distribution block elements, allowing expansion by addition of distribution block elements. First levels of the couplings are spaced apart for a fuse of a first size and the second, lower levels of the couplings are spaced apart for a fuse of a second size, and for direct flat plate conductors. When two elements are connected adjacently, the spacing between the second level of adjacent couplings is the same as the spacing between the second level of opposed couplings in each element. Thus, the flat plate conductors can be used both for electrically connecting opposed input and output couplings and for electrically connecting input couplings of adjacent elements. Notches in the flat plate connectors receive fasteners and two flat plate connectors can be juxtaposed to receive the same fastener without stacking.
Electrical relay assembly
A relay assembly configured for use in a vehicle electrical distribution center. The relay assembly includes a circuit board, a first and second relay disposed the circuit board and a plurality of terminals electrically coupled to the first and second relays. The relay assembly also includes removable fuses to protect the circuits controlled by the first and second relays against over-current conditions. In one embodiment, the relay assembly is packaged as a mini-ISO relay package.
Fusible link mounting structure and electrical junction box
A fusible link mounting structure, comprising a three-series fusible link formed by providing three pieces of fuse elements in series within a single common housing, a cavity having a mounting space formed according to a size of the common housing for the three-series fusible link, a plurality of tabs projected from a bottom of the cavity into the mounting space, and a monopole fusible link formed by providing a piece of fuse element in a single monopole housing, wherein a total length of the mounting space is set to be shorter than a sum of lengths of three-pieces of the monopole housings, and the tabs are arranged corresponding to positions of fuse terminals provided in the three-series fusible link, and also arranged at such positions that a plurality of the terminals do not interfere with the monopole housing, when the monopole fusible link is mounted in the cavity.
