A fusible link (11) includes a fuse element (13) provided with a fusible conductor part (25) which has a melting part (31) provided between parallel inner side edges (21) of a first terminal part (17) and a second planar terminal part (19). The fusible link (11) also includes an insulative housing (15), having a melting part accommodating space (35) to accommodate the melting part (31) therein, which is mounted to a front surface side of the fuse element (13) to cover the inner side edges (21) of the first planar terminal part (17) and the second planar terminal part (19) and the fusible conductor part (25).

A modular housing assembly for an electrical connector connectable to a plug fuse includes a surrounding housing and an inner housing that receives a contact element plugged to the plug fuse and has an insertion opening through which one of the fuse contacts of the plug fuse can be plugged. The surrounding housing includes a module chamber receiving the inner housing and an access opening leading into the module chamber that passes through a housing wall and is sized to receive the fuse body of the plug fuse along the material thickness of the housing wall. The fuse contact coming from outside can better reach the internally disposed contact element. An electrical connector is provided with such a housing assembly and a contact element.

A fuse assembly includes a bus bar fuse and a clip. The bus bar fuse has a leg with a slotted opening. The clip surrounds a portion of the leg. The clip includes a first side having a threaded through-hole and a second side extending from the first side at an angle with respect to the first side. A third side extends from the second side at an angle with respect to the second side. The third side includes a through-hole. The threaded through-hole of the clip provides for captivation of the fastener within the clip when mounting the fuse assembly to the fuse mounting block assembly.
