Fuse box, fuse box assembly comprising such fuse box and vehicle
The invention concerns a fuse box, comprising a busbar (6) and at least one fuse (8) connected to the busbar, each fuse including two opposite end portions (8A, 8B) and a central portion (82), at least the central portion of each fuse and a section of the busbar being encapsulated in a plastic coating layer. The central portion (82) includes a part (84) of reduced cross-section. The two end portions (8A, 8B) include two respective electrical connectors (81A, 81B), and at least the two electrical connectors (81A, 81B) of each fuse (8) are not encapsulated in the plastic coating layer, so that a new fuse (12) can be connected between the two electrical connectors (81A, 81B) in replacement of a blown fuse (8).
Integrated fuse module
A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, a fuse plate including a fusible element disposed on a bottom surface of the mounting block, a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending along rear and top surfaces of the mounting block, and an input terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending from a front surface of the mounting block, the fuse module further including an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top surface of the mounting block through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.
POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT, SUCH AS A FUSE BOX FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a power distribution unit (1), such as a fuse box for a vehicle, for providing a protected electrical connection between a power supply cable and a plurality of distribution cables (7). The unit comprises a housing (2) and, received in said housing: a bus bar (5) configured to be connected to the power supply cable; a plurality of fuses (10), each fuse comprising a body (15), a first end portion (11) configured to be connected to the bus bar (5), and a second end portion (12) configured to be connected to a distribution cable (7); at least one retainer (20) for maintaining the bus bar (5) in position with respect to the housing (2); at least one positioner (40) for positioning the fuse first end portion (11) relative to the bus bar (5) along directions (X,Y) substantially parallel to the bus bar; a biasing member (30) configured to urge the fuse first end portion (11) towards the bus bar (5), to cause the fuse first end portion to remain in contact with the bus bar.
Integrated Fuse Module
A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, a fuse plate including a fusible element disposed on a bottom surface of the mounting block, an input terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending along rear and top surfaces of the mounting block, and a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending from a front surface of the mounting block, the fuse module further including an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top surface of the mounting block through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.
Powerline cutout switch improvement
The present invention is a power line cut-out switch used in power transmission system comprising a base member having a vertical extension member perpendicularly attached thereon that secures a mechanical jumper used when transferring power lines from one electrical post to another. The vertical member can include a mushroom top member to further secure the mechanical jumper. The mechanical jumper is mounted to the vertical extension member to provide a stable and secure point of engagement when transferring power lines. This avoids electrocution to workers by no longer having to connect the mechanical jumper to flimsy solid jumpers and helps provide more uninterrupted power supply to consumers when installing new posts or shifting old posts to a new location.
Signaling device, an electrical fuse apparatus and a device comprising the electrical fuse apparatus
A signaling device adapted to be electrically coupled to an electric potential applied to terminals of a fuse element or to clips of a fuse holder. The signaling device is adapted to signal to the outside at least one property of the fuse element. In addition, the signaling device includes at least one transmission layer having an electrically controllable transmission factor.
Power distribution clip assembly
A power distribution assembly which may be a fuse clip or a switch includes a lug mounted to a block in association with a spring clip which confronts one side of the lug. A portion of the spring clip is mounted to the block and an upper spring arm of the clip is positioned on one side of the lug. The lug is mounted to the block and includes a downwardly projecting tang which is inserted through a slot in the bottom portion of the assembly to thereby couple the spring arm to the lug and block and to receive the end of the fuse or a blade between the spring arm and the lug.
Multiple-use interlocking fused power and grounding distribution block
Apparatus for enabling distribution of electric power, fusing, and/or ground connection in electrical systems is provided. The apparatus may include an extensible, interlocking, modular block of multiple-use modules. Each module may be configured to include a fuse or a link bar mounted within it. Each module may accept multiple sizes and types of fuses. Each module may be configured to include an external link bar for providing an electrical connection to at least one other module. Apparatus may enable distribution of electrical power, fused power, and/or ground connection from a power source to a plurality of electrical components while organizing and minimizing wired connections.
ELECTRICAL UNIT
An electrical unit includes a first housing member, a second housing member, and a fuse assembly. The fuse assembly may include a pre-fuse bus bar disposed at least partially in the first housing member. The first housing member may be configured to receive a first electrical connector. A plane may extend through the pre-fuse bus bar and the first electrical connector. The fuse assembly may include a fuse, and the plane may extend through the pre-fuse bus bar, the first electrical connector, and/or the fuse. The first housing member may be configured to receive a second electrical connector.
