HIGH VOLTAGE FEEDTHROUGH ASSEMBLY, TIME-RESOLVED TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPE AND METHOD OF ELECTRODE MANIPULATION IN A VACUUM ENVIRONMENT
A high voltage feedthrough assembly (100) for providing an electric potential in a vacuum environment comprises a flange connector (10) being adapted for a connection with a vacuum vessel (201), wherein the flange connector (10) has an inner side (11) facing to the vacuum vessel (201) and an outer side (12) facing to an environment of the vacuum vessel 201, a vacuumtight insulator tube (20) having a longitudinal extension with a first end (21) facing to the flange connector (10) and a second end (22) being adapted for projecting into the vacuum vessel (201), and an electrode device (30) coupled to the second end (22) of the insulator tube (20), wherein the electrode device (30) has a front electrode (31), including a photocathode or a field emitter tip and facing to the vacuum vessel (201) and a cable adapter (32) for receiving a high-voltage cable (214), wherein a flexible tube connector (40) is provided for a vacuum-tight coupling of the insulator tube (20) with the flange connector (10), and a manipulator device (50) is connected with the insulator tube (20) for adjusting a geometrical arrangement of the insulator tube (20) relative to the flange connector (10). Furthermore, an electron diffraction or imaging apparatus (transmission electron microscope, TEM) 200 for static and/or time-resolved diffraction, including (nano-) crystallography, and real space imaging for structural investigations including the high voltage feedthrough assembly (100) and a method of manipulating an electrode device (30) in a vacuum environment are described.
EXPOSURE APPARATUS
The invention provides an exposure apparatus (100) including a formation module (122) which forms charged particle beams with different irradiation positions on a specimen. The formation module (122) includes: a particle source (20) which emits the charged particle beams from an emission region (21) in which a width in a longitudinal direction is different from and a width in a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; an aperture array device (60) provided with openings (62) arranged in an illuminated region (61) in which a width in a longitudinal direction is different from a width in a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; illumination lenses (30, 50) provided between the particle source (20) and the aperture array device (60); and a beam cross-section deformation device (40) which is provided between the particle source (20) and the aperture array device (60), and deforms a cross-sectional shape of the charged particle beams into an anisotropic shape by an action of a magnetic field or an electric field.

ELECTRON BEAM EMISSION DEVICE
Disclosed is an electron beam emission device comprising a housing which defines a space in which electron beams are accelerated, and has an opening at the other side thereof through which the electron beams are emitted; a cathode which is disposed at one side in the housing, and emits the electrons; an anode which is positioned in the housing so as to be spaced apart from the cathode toward the other side, and accelerates the electrons emitted from the cathode; and an insulation holder which insulates a portion between the cathode and the housing, and fixes the cathode, wherein the cathode has a surface which faces the anode and is formed concavely to have a gradient, and a rim of the surface of the cathode, which has the gradient, is formed to be rounded.
