Further, a user may use an electronic device to detect and read a product identification label arranged outside the device to conduct management of aging of the food so that the user is notified to remove and taste the food at the best taste date.

Disclosed herein is a CA system which allows first and second adsorption columns to alternately perform an adsorption operation and a desorption operation so that nitrogen-enriched air having a higher nitrogen concentration and a lower oxygen concentration than the air is produced and supplied into the container. The CA system executes a second operation mode in which the nitrogen-enriched air produced for a predetermined time since the desorption operation was started is discharged to the outside of the container, and the nitrogen-enriched air produced until the end of the desorption operation since the predetermined time passed is supplied into the container.

Disclosed is a gas supply device provided for a container in which a breathing plant is housed. The device supplies nitrogen-enriched air into the container. The device is provided with a malfunction diagnosis section which checks whether each of components of the device works properly or not and specifies a malfunctioning portion if an oxygen concentration of the nitrogen-enriched air does not fall to or below a predetermined concentration. The malfunction diagnosis section checks whether each of an air pump, a motor, and a switching mechanism works properly or not, and determines that an adsorbent is not working properly when it is determined that all of the air pump, the motor, and the switching mechanism are working properly.
