ROSEMARY IN A TOBACCO BLEND
Provided are smoking products and methods of preparing smoking products that include tobacco and a deflavored rosemary or a heat-treated rosemary. The deflavored and/or heat-treated rosemary may have been previously heated at a temperature and a time sufficient to reduce or remove flavorant components compared to the use of untreated rosemary. The heated rosemary may include one or more pentacyclic triterpenoid acids such as betulinic, betul-18-enoic, oleanolic, and ursolic acids.
COATED TOBACCO PARTICLES SUITABLE FOR USAGE IN A SMOKELESS TOBACCO PRODUCT
A process for preparing coated particles of a plant material includes: (a) combining plant material particles and a protein in a liquid medium, wherein the protein adsorbs onto at least a portion of a surface of the particles to form a first layer; and (b) mixing a polysaccharide including a pectin with the liquid medium, so that the polysaccharide adsorbs onto at least a portion of a surface of the first layer to form a second layer. In addition, a palatable product comprising at least one coated particle prepared by this process is described.
PRODUCT PORTION ENROBING MACHINES AND METHODS
An apparatus for enrobing a product portion can include at least one polymer spray head adapted to create at least one flow of polymeric fibers to produce at least one polymer enrobing zone and a conveyor system adapted to move at least one product portion from at least one position below at least one polymer enrobing zone and to at least one position above at least one polymer enrobing zone to drop each product portion through one or more polymer enrobing zones a plurality times at different orientations to enrobe each product portion with polymeric fibers.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN AEROSOL-GENERATING FILM
A method of manufacturing an aerosol-generating film for generating an aerosol upon heating is provided, including: preparing a film-forming composition including a cellulose based film-forming agent, a non-cellulose based thickening agent, at least about 30 wt percent of water, and at least about 20 wt percent of a polyhydric alcohol being glycerin; forming a layer of the composition less than 1 millimeter thick; and heating the layer to evaporate at least some of the water to obtain the film, the layer being heated to a temperature and for a time such that the film contains less than or equal to about 30 wt percent of water, and the step of preparing the composition further includes dissolving the cellulose based agent and the non-cellulose based thickening agent in the water to form a water-based preparation, defoaming the preparation, and mixing the polyhydric alcohol into the preparation to obtain the composition.
VERY LOW NICOTINE CIGARETTES
The present disclosure relates to tobacco products, including methodology, devices and compositions, for assisting a smoker to transition from conventional tobacco cigarettes to either e-cigarettes or a tobacco heating device. Provided herein are methodology for switching, along with kits, products and apparatuses.
TOBACCO COMPOSITION COMPRISING A TOBACCO COMPONENT AND AN AEROSOL FORMING MATERIAL
A tobacco composition comprising a tobacco component and an aerosol forming material, wherein the tobacco component comprises leaf tobacco material in an amount of between about 10% and about 90% by weight of the tobacco component and wherein the leaf tobacco material has a nicotine content of greater than 1.5% by weight of the leaf tobacco material and a method of making the tobacco composition. Also, an article comprising the tobacco composition for use in an aerosol provision system and a system comprising a device arranged to heat the tobacco composition and generate an aerosol from the tobacco composition.
Atomizing liquid gel with reversible phase transition characteristics, preparation method and applications thereof
An atomizing liquid gel with reversible phase transition characteristics includes: a sugar-based gelling agent, 0.1-3.0 wt %; an atomizing liquid, 97.0-99.9 wt %; a molecule of the sugar-based gelling agent is a sugar molecule introduced with an amide group and/or an aryl group, and the sugar molecule optionally further includes at least one hydrophobic structural part selected from —C.sub.xH.sub.y, —O—C.sub.xH.sub.y and ##STR00001##
and x>2 and y>2. The atomizing liquid gel has characteristics of thermal reversible phase transition and/or shear reversible phase transition, a temperature of gel-sol phase transition is 100° C.-248° C., and a critical shear stress of the gel-sol phase transition is 40-800 Pa. Under heating and/or oscillation, the atomizing liquid gel converts from the gel state to a sol state, and the atomizing agent fixed in the gel releases to form an inhalable aerosol. When the heating and/or oscillation are stopped, the atomizing liquid gel is quickly recovered from the sol state to the gel state, and the unatomized atomizing agent is refixed in the gel. The use of the atomizing liquid gel solves the problem of liquid leakage of the liquid nicotine of the atomizer caused by the smoke condensate after the smoking stops, the change of air pressure or the action of external force during transportation.
ORAL CANNABINOID PRODUCT WITH LIPID COMPONENT
Meltable compositions configured for oral use, the compositions including at least one cannabinoid or cannabimimetic, are provided. The compositions include one or more fillers, typically a sugar alcohol, and a lipid. A method of forming such compositions is also provided.
PREFORMED HERBAL CARTRIDGE
A preformed cartridge includes a tube. The tube has a length and diameter. The length is greater than the diameter. A plant component is sized to fit within the tube. The plant component is formed from a hardened slurry. The plant component is securely lodged within the tube. The plant component is a plant slurry injected into the tube while wet or can be a plant slurry pre-hardened in a mold before mounting inside the herb tube. The plant component further includes a heater insertion opening and a flow channel. The heater insertion opening is in communication with a flow channel. The flow channel extends along the length of the tube, and the heater insertion opening is parallel to the flow channel.
MELTABLE SMOKELESS TOBACCO COMPOSITION
A meltable smokeless tobacco composition configured for insertion into the mouth of a user is provided. The smokeless tobacco composition includes a tobacco material and a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. An associated process is also provided. The process includes melting a lipid having a melting point of about 36° C. to about 45° C. to form a molten lipid composition, mixing a tobacco material with the molten lipid composition to form a molten smokeless tobacco composition, and cooling the molten smokeless tobacco composition to form a solidified smokeless tobacco composition.
