SMOKING COMPOSITION COMPRISING FLAVOUR PRECURSOR
A smoking composition comprises an aerosol-forming substrate and a flavour precursor compound. Upon heating, the precursor compound releases a thiol-containing flavour compound or intermediate that enhances the flavour experience of the aerosol-forming substrate when used in a smoking article. The smoking article may include tobacco and may be configured to heat, but not combust, the tobacco.
AEROSOL GENERATION
An aerosol-generating composition including an amorphous solid, the amorphous solid having: (a) aerosol generating agent in an amount of from about 25 to 80 wt % of the amorphous solid; (b) one or more gelling agents selected from methyl cellulose, guar gum and mixtures thereof; and (c) filler in an amount of at least about 15 wt % of the amorphous solid; wherein the amount of gelling agent and filler taken together is from about 20 to 75 wt % of the amorphous solid.
NOVEL AEROSOL-GENERATING SUBSTRATE COMPRISING THYMUS SPECIES
A heatable aerosol-generating article is provided, including: an aerosol-generating substrate including a homogenised thyme material including at least 2.5 percent by weight of thyme particles on a dry weight basis, an aerosol former, and a binder, at least 400 micrograms of ursolic acid per gram of the aerosol-generating substrate, on a dry weight basis, and at least 150 micrograms of thymol per gram of the aerosol-generating substrate, on a dry weight basis, in which an amount of ursolic acid per gram of the aerosol-generating substrate is at least 2 times an amount of thymol per gram of the aerosol-generating substrate; and at least one hollow tube immediately downstream of the aerosol-generating substrate. An aerosol-generating system, including an aerosol-generating device including a heating element, and the heated aerosol-generating article, is also provided.
AGGLOMERATED BOTANICAL MATERIAL FOR ORAL PRODUCTS
The disclosure provides methods of preparing agglomerated botanical materials and associated oral products including such agglomerated botanical materials. Some aspects of the disclosure provide methods for preparing an agglomerated botanical material, which include combining botanical particle fines having an average particle size of about 300 microns or less with a binding agent, forming agglomerated botanical particles from the combined botanical particle fines and binding agent, and optionally, treating the agglomerated botanical particles to increase water stability.
AEROSOL GENERATION
A method of manufacturing an aerosol-generating material having a shredded amorphous solid, the method including: (a) forming a layer of a slurry comprising: 1-60 wt % of a gelling agent; 0.1-50 wt % of an aerosol-former material; 5-50 wt % of filler in the form of fibers; and 0.1-80 wt % of a flavorant and/or active substance; wherein these weights are calculated on a dry weight basis; (b) drying the slurry to provide the amorphous solid; and (c) shredding the amorphous solid to provide the shredded amorphous solid.
AEROSOL GENERATION
An aerosol-generating material including an amorphous solid, wherein the amorphous solid includes: a gelling agent; an aerosol-former material; a flavourant and/or active substance; and a filler; wherein the filler extends only partially through a thickness of the amorphous solid.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR SUBLINGUAL DELIVERY OF NICOTINE
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for oral delivery of nicotine and nicotine derivatives. In one embodiment the nicotine is delivered in an oral packets, pouches, or sachets.
Apparatus and method for applying an additive to a tobacco rod of a smoking article
An apparatus arranged to form a continuous tobacco rod of a smoking article, comprises a conveyor conveying a tobacco material stream in a conveyance direction, and a wrapping material supply arrangement advancing a web of wrapping material in the conveyance direction adjacent to the tobacco material stream. A constriction member receives the tobacco material stream at an inlet end and reduces a cross-sectional area of the tobacco material stream. The reduced-area tobacco material stream exits the constriction member at an exit end, and the wrapping material web wraps about the reduced-area tobacco material stream exiting the exit end. An additive source supplies an additive material to the reduced-area tobacco material stream through a dispensing port disposed about the exit end of the constriction member, prior to the reduced-area tobacco material stream being wrapped by the wrapping material web to form the continuous tobacco rod.
TOBACCO COMPOSITIONS AND PREPARATION THEREOF
Methods of providing an infused tobacco composition including infusing a starting tobacco composition with volatilized ...components formed by heating a volatile component source, thereby retaining at least some volatile components in the starting tobacco composition. Also infused tobacco compositions, as well as aerosol delivery systems and components for use in aerosol delivery systems, including the infused tobacco compositions.
Nicotine pouch composition
A nicotine pouch composition is disclosed, the pouch composition includes at least one sugar alcohol, at least one water-insoluble fiber, water in an amount of 8-65% by weight of the composition, and nicotine. Also, an oral pouched nicotine product and a method for manufacturing an oral pouched product is disclosed.
