LIQUID NICOTINE FORMULATION COMPRISING WATER-IMMISCIBLE SOLVENTS
A liquid nicotine formulation for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the liquid nicotine formulation including: at least one of water and one or more water-miscible solvents; one or more partially water-soluble, water-immiscible solvents having a water solubility at 20° C. of between about 20 mg/ml and about 100 mg/ml; and one or more water insoluble, water-immiscible solvents having a water solubility at 20° C. of less than or equal to about 5 mg/ml, the liquid nicotine formulation having a water-insoluble, water-immiscible solvent content of greater than or equal to about 2 percent by weight. A cartridge containing the liquid nicotine formulation, and an aerosol-generating system, are also provided.
ABNORMALLY-SHAPED TOBACCO GRANULES AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, TOBACCO PRODUCT AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
Abnormally-shaped tobacco granules are provided. The tobacco granules comprise a tobacco granule body and a coating attached to the surface of the tobacco granule body. The coating contains an adhesive. The surface of the abnormally-shaped tobacco granule has one or more grooves and/or ridges, and/or, the abnormally-shaped tobacco granule has through holes therein. The surface grooves of the abnormally-shaped tobacco granules can serve as smoke channels after the tobacco granules are bonded, cured and shaped, so that the air permeability inside a total-granule tobacco product is greatly improved. The smoking resistance of cigarettes is reduced. The flammability of cigarettes is improved and the consumption of tobacco raw materials is reduced. A preparation method of the abnormally-shaped tobacco granules, a tobacco product comprising the abnormally-shaped tobacco granules, and a preparation method thereof are also provided.
CARTRIDGE COMPRISING NICOTINE AND A WATER-IMMISCIBLE SOLVENT
A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the cartridge containing: a first liquid formulation including at least one of water and one or more water-miscible solvents; and a second liquid formulation including one or more water-immiscible solvents having a water solubility at 20° C. of less than or equal to about 100 mg/ml, in which at least one of the first liquid formulation and the second liquid formulation comprises nicotine. An aerosol-generating system is also provided, including the cartridge; and an aerosol-generating device including one or more atomizers configured to generate an aerosol from the first liquid formulation and the second liquid formulation contained in the cartridge.

AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE WITH HIGH AEROSOL FORMER CONTENT
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a substrate portion containing an aerosol-forming substrate; and a connect portion disposed at one end of the aerosol-generating article in direct abutment with the substrate portion, the connect portion having a tubular empty core structure, the substrate portion having a length of between 20 millimeters and 60 millimeters, and a diameter of between 4 millimeters and 7 millimeters, the aerosol-forming substrate including an aerosol former, and an amount of the aerosol former ranges between 6 percent and 20 percent by weight on a dry weight basis of the aerosol-forming substrate. An aerosol-generating system including the aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device, and a method for manufacturing the aerosol-generating article, are also provided.
PRODUCING METHOD OF TOBACCO RAW MATERIAL
A producing method of a tobacco raw material containing a flavor constituent, comprises: a step A for heating a tobacco raw material in a closed space which is treated with alkali and for taking a flavor constituent released in the gas phase from the tobacco raw material to an outside of the closed space; a step B for allowing a first solvent to capture the flavor constituent by bringing the flavor constituent released in the gas phase in the step A into contact with the first solvent which is a liquid substance at normal temperature on the outside of the closed space; a step C for supplying a second solvent to the tobacco raw material in the closed space after the step A and for taking a normal component which is released as the liquid phase from the tobacco raw material to the second solvent, together with the second solvent to the outside of the closed space; and after the steps B and C, the step D for adding the first solvent capturing the flavor constituent in the step B to the tobacco raw material from which the flavor constituent is released to the outside of the closed space in the step A.

ORAL COMPOSITIONS WITH REDUCED WATER CONTENT
The disclosure provides for oral compositions that exhibit desired properties associated with moist products while incorporating a relatively low water content. Such compositions may include at least one releasable material, at least one filler/carrier component, and at least one water substitute, such as a polyol. The water substituted may be present in an amount of about 25% by weight or greater based on the total weight of the oral composition, and the compositions and products formed therewith can exhibit a relatively low water activity, such as in the range of about 0.85 or less. The present disclosure further provides methods of forming an oral composition with a mouthfeel corresponding to a moist product while having a relatively low water activity.
