A system and method for manufacturing a filter includes a filamentary material delivery apparatus, a support structure for supporting a continuous stream of filamentary material, and a particle distribution apparatus. The particle distribution apparatus includes an apertured distribution belt positioned above the support structure and in communication with an outlet of a particle storing hopper. The belt defines a plurality of spaced openings through which particles are distributed onto the continuous stream of filamentary material to form a particle-bearing stream of filamentary material.

A device for discharging particulate material, for example powder material, granules or capsules, or in general free-flowing material, such as adhesive material, on a substrate moving along a conveying direction, includes at least one drum rotor having at least one helical track carrying the material to be discharged. The drum rotor is arranged adjacent to the moving substrate, with its axis substantially parallel to the conveying direction so that the portion of the at least one helical track which is closest to the substrate moves in the conveying direction during rotation of the drum rotor and discharges the material carried thereby on the substrate.

The present disclosure relates to a filter for cigarettes and a method of preparing the filter, and provides a paper filter for cigarettes using paper and a cigarette including the paper filter. The filter for cigarettes provides a high level of satisfaction in smoking through high granular seating stability and eliminates a burnt taste. Filter rods for use in the manufacture of cigarette filter elements are provided, with each rod having a longitudinal axis and incorporating a generally longitudinally extending filter material and a generally longitudinally extending strand within that filter material. A filter making unit receives a continuous supply of a filter material, and forms the filter material into a gathered composite having a continuous cylindrical shape. A continuous supply of a strand (e.g., colored thread) is provided and is introduced into the filter material gathered composite in the tongue of the filter making unit. The filter material and continuous strand positioned therein are formed into a continuous rod having the strand material laterally positioned within that rod, and the continuous rod is subdivided at pre-determined longitudinal intervals to provide a plurality of rod portions.

A feed mechanism to feed objects for insertion into tobacco industry products including a rotary member for receiving objects, the rotary member having a plurality of channels, each channel being adapted so that in use objects assemble in a row in the channel which rotates with the rotary member, each channel having an outlet for dispensing an object from the channel, and a pneumatic mechanism configured to hold an object in a row prior to the object being dispensed.

The present invention relates to a cigarette filter and a method for manufacturing same, and can provide a paper cigarette filter using paper and a cigarette comprising same. A cigarette filter according to one embodiment of the present invention can impart a high degree of smoking satisfaction through high granule stability, and eliminate a burnt taste. Hereinafter, various embodiments related to a cigarette filter and a method for manufacturing same may be possible.

This filler element is used in a flavor inhaler, and comprises: a folded part in which one sheet composed of a nonwoven fabric has been folded in the width direction Z intersecting the longitudinal direction X thereof, and the diameter thereof has been reduced to a size not greater than the diameter of the filler element; and wrapping paper that is wrapped on the folded part. The flavouring material (17) comprises a carrier material (15) and flavouring particles (14) adhered to the carrier material (15) by means of a binder (13). The flavouring material (17) is formed by passing the carrier material (15) through a mixture (12) comprising the binder (13) and the flavouring particles (14). A method and device for forming a cigarette filter rod. The method is as follows: in a process of continuously conveying forward cigarette filter materials that tend to converge to have a rod shape, multiple granular additives are continuously output in accordance with a certain time interval, and are sprayed into the cigarette filter materials that converge forwards under the action of continuous transporting flows, so that after the cigarette filter materials converge to form a continuous filter rod, multiple groups of additive unit combinations formed of different granular additive units are embedded in an axial direction of the filter rod. With the method and device for forming a cigarette filter rod, a filter rod containing multiple granular additives can be formed in one step; multiple granular additives can be combined and arranged in any way along an axial direction of the filter rod; dosage positions and intervals of various granular additives can be adjusted and changed randomly; a production process is simplified and the production cost is reduced.
