A kit for use in forming a water pipe includes a glass tube defining a bowl housing at a proximal end thereof and a smoke outlet at a distal end thereof. The glass tube is configured for insertion into a bottle. A grommet is configured for positioning in a sidewall of the bottle. The grommet is configured to receive the glass tube therethrough. A drill bit is configured for forming a hole in the sidewall of the bottle. The hole is configured to receive the grommet therein. A drill bit guide is configured to be secured against the sidewall of the bottle. The drill bit guide is configured to guide a path of the drill bit as the drill bit forms the hole in the sidewall of the bottle.

A sanitary smoking apparatus is described. It includes a burn chamber having an inlet and an outlet. An inlet conduit is coupled to the burn chamber and is arranged to deliver air to the burn chamber. An air pump is coupled to the inlet conduit and is the source of air delivered to the burn chamber. An outlet conduit is also coupled to the burn chamber, wherein air from the pump pushes smoke from within the burn chamber out of the burn chamber through the outlet conduit to a user of the apparatus.

A sanitary smoking apparatus is described. It includes a burn chamber having an inlet and an outlet. An inlet conduit is coupled to the burn chamber and is arranged to deliver air to the burn chamber. An air pump is coupled to the inlet conduit and is the source of air delivered to the burn chamber. An outlet conduit is also coupled to the burn chamber, wherein air from the pump pushes smoke from within the burn chamber out of the burn chamber through the outlet conduit to a user of the apparatus.

A novel water filtration apparatus is disclosed having a downstem assembly from which a combustion aerosol or an aerosol is generated. The water filtration apparatus including a rotatable water filtration assembly rotatably mounted about a fixed shaft member and including two chambers generally separated by a divider wall having drain passage formed therein and wherein the rotatable water filtration assembly is normally oriented vertically with one chamber being disposed over the other and wherein said chamber is adapted to contain a volume of liquid that moves from one chamber to the other through the drain passage in response to rotating the rotatable water filtration assembly one-half turn. Routing of the aerosol through an upper disposed chamber and percolating the aerosol through the liquid and as the liquid within said chamber moves from the upper oriented chamber to the lower oriented chamber after each half turn, the falling liquid creating a vacuum space above the falling liquid in the upper chamber that draws air through the downstem assembly and the aerosol flowing and percolating into the upper disposed chamber while aerosol contained in the lower chamber is exhausted from said chamber via an exhaust opening towards a mouthpiece assembly.

There is disclosed a portable compact pipe comprising at least one base section having at least one hole. There is also at least one water container section having at least one hole. Furthermore, there is at least one shield. The base section is coupled to the water container section, at least at one orientation. With this design, a hole on the base section and a hole on the water container section are configured to be lined up. Thus, when the stem is inserted into the hole on the base section, and the hole on the water container section, the stem locks the water container section to the base section.

There is disclosed a portable compact pipe comprising at least one base section having at least one hole. There is also at least one water container section having at least one hole. Furthermore, there is at least one shield. The base section is coupled to the water container section, at least at one orientation. With this design, a hole on the base section and a hole on the water container section are configured to be lined up. Thus, when the stem is inserted into the hole on the base section, and the hole on the water container section, the stem locks the water container section to the base section.

A charcoal-less hookah and components thereof. Preferably, the charcoal-less hookah is an electronic hookah. A battery may be operably connected to one or more heating elements to heat the one or more heating elements to allow the hookah to be used at a site lacking an electrical outlet. Preferably, the battery is sufficiently removed from one or more heating elements and a heat exchanger so that the battery is not exposed to elevated or harmful temperatures. The charcoal-less hookah may include a hookah sub-assembly having a heating element, a heat exchanger and tobacco/smoked substance disposed below the heat exchanger and the heating element and an insulation section which is disposed above the tobacco/smoked substance and below a lower portion of the heating element and a lower portion of the heat exchanger. The insulation section is configured to prevent the smoked substance from being exposed to an evaporation temperature when the hookah is being operated but is not being used to smoke a smoked substance while exposing the smoked substance to a temperature equal to or exceeding the evaporation temperature when the hookah is operating and being used to smoke a smoked substance.
