KNEE PAD ASSEMBLY
A knee pad assembly is disclosed to protect the knee of a workman who kneels down while working on a work surface. The knee pad assembly includes a flexible upper knee cushion at which to receive and cover the workman's knee and a rigid lower base that lies on the work surface below the upper knee cushion. The lower base has a continuously curved bottom to rock back and forth on the work surface when the workman shifts his weight while kneeling. The upper knee cushion and the lower base are held one above the other against the knee of the workman by a knee pad strap that is wrapped around the workman's leg. A pair of springs (e.g., flexible carbon fiber sheets having a spring memory) extend across the lower base below the upper knee cushion so as to suspend the workman's knee above the work surface and flex in response to the workman's knee pushing down on the knee cushion.
Collar with stowage pouch
A protective apparel having a collar is disclosed. The collar defines a stowage pouch. The protective apparel comprises a foldable chinstrap having a first end and a second end. The first ends of the foldable chinstrap is disposed within the stowage pouch and the second end is attached to an interior surface of the collar in a folded configuration. The foldable chinstrap transitions from the folded configuration to an unfolded configuration when the second end of the foldable chinstrap is separated from the interior surface of the collar and extended to attach to an exterior surface of the collar.
RELOCATABLE PROTECTION SYSTEM
A relocatable protection system (RPS) comprises a base padding (BP), a shell, a slip-resistant layer, and a fastening mechanism comprising retention members, straps and slotted anchor plates. The BP is configured to provide cushioning to a body part of a wearer. The shell of the RPS is positioned over the BP. The slip-resistant layer is positioned over the shell. The RPS is paired with a pair of trousers (PT) to form a kit for use by a wearer. The PT comprises a pair of elongated pockets (PEPs), each attached to a front section of a trouser leg of the PT and comprising a top opening. Furthermore, each of the PEPs comprise adjacently located loops on a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side of the PEPs. The PEPs comprise openings disposed below the first and second longitudinal sides of the PEPs.
PROTECTIVE BODY GEAR DEVICE
A protective body gear device includes a panel, a shield, and a band. The panel is flexible and can be wrapped around and detachably secured to a limb of a person. The panel includes an inner layer and an outer layer. Each of the inner layer and the outer layer includes woven para-aramid fibers resistant to heat and impact forces. The shield is between the inner and outer layers. The shield includes two side portions and a central portion projecting in a substantially convex manner away from the inner layer. The shield includes a thermoplastic vulcanizate polymer material resistant to heat and impact forces. The band is positioned between the shield and the inner layer. The band extends across the shield and is connected to the side portions with space between the band and the central portion. The band includes woven para-aramid fibers resistant to heat and impact forces.
Protective knee pad
The invention relates to a protective knee pad (1) for workmen, the protective knee pad comprising a knee support (100) and a protective member (200), said knee support comprising a front portion (10) and a rear portion (20), wherein the knee support is adapted to be wrapped around a user's knee and the protective member comprises a plurality of interconnected overlapping plates (40).
