Hard armor plate pouches incorporated in a ballistic vest carrier cover that has armor panel pockets with side openings and waist panels. The pouches are attached to the carrier cover outer layer inside the armor pockets with access through the outer layer. The pouch is a single fabric sheet attached to the outer layer around the sheet perimeter, a bag that hangs freely in the pocket, or a bag that hangs in the pocket from the shoulders and neck opening of the cover. The front pouch has side and bottom lobes to ease installation of the armor plate. The pouch is accessed via a lateral or vertical opening in the outer layer that is closed by an openable fastener. Optionally, the waist panels have side pouches that have openings at the side or the top.

Garment with plate carrying system

A load-bearing garment, such as a vest, is provided having stretchable web platform on an outside surface, such as between front and back panels of the vest. The stretchable web platform includes stretchable bands that extend horizontally, and vertical webbing extending between multiple horizontal bands. Additional embodiments are directed to a mounting system in a plate carrier for a plate. Still further embodiments are directed to a handle and strap system for a vest or other garment that permits a quick rescue of a person wearing the vest.

Implementations described and claimed herein provide tactical devices, such as vests and soft ballistic armor, configured for a female wearer and methods of manufacturing the same. In one implementation, a front carrier has an inner surface and an outer surface forming an interior. A front carrier pocket is disposed on the outer surface of the front carrier, and the front carrier pocket is adapted to receive a ballistic hard plate. A soft ballistic armor is disposed in the interior of the front carrier. The soft ballistic armor has an armor female shape defined by a set of lateral portions connecting an upper portion and a lower portion. A lateral dart is disposed in each of the lateral portions. The lateral darts are each adapted to displace the ballistic hard plate in a direction away from the inner surface of the front carrier.

A fabric pouch is provided for containing an athletic support cup, and this pouch is disposed within the interior cavity of the pants proximate to the front face. The pouch is attached to the waistband by a top attachment panel, and it is attached to the front face of the pants on right and left sides of the pouch by side wing attachment panels. The side wing attachment panels are spaced apart from each other so as to leave a tip portion of the pouch unattached.
