A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.

A batting pad comprising a body made from a cushioning material and having a ring portion adapted to fit over a batter’s thumb and an appendage to cushion the palm area between a batter’s thumb and index finger. The appendage has a thickness T at its thickest point located between the first end and the distant end, and the thickness T of the appendage is selected to optimize an angle of a bat in the batter’s hand relative to a line parallel to the batter’s forearm, the angle being determined by the thickness T of the appendage displacing the bat toward the tip of the batter’s index finger and causing the bat to contact the palm of the batter’s hand near the batter’s little finger.

A rapid donning face mask is disclosed. The rapid donning face mask is desirable for emerging situations in which the user is unable to maintain proper social distancing. When needed the user deploys a filter element that is coupled to the fingers of a user's hand via rings. As the user splays their fingers, the filter element deploys, allowing the user to cover their mouth and nasal openings with the filter element.

Disclosed is a grip that includes a protective material having a wrist end, a finger end, and sides that extend from the wrist end to the finger end. A wrist strap is attached to a leg of the wrist end of the protective material. A striking glove may comprise a wrist band; an inner glove for receiving a hand; an outer shell conforming generally to the inner glove; one or more padding layers positioned between the inner glove and the outer shell; and an internal support system between the inner glove and the outer shell. The internal support system comprises at least a first and a second channel disposed on the dorsal side of the glove, and a first strap and a second strap at least partially disposed within the first and second channels and configured in an overlapped and crossed configuration, wherein each of the first and the second strap is configured to be retained within and slide within the respective channel, and wherein ends of the first and second straps extend from a dorsal cavity between the inner glove and the outer shell to an exterior of the striking glove.

A protective glove can include a unitary dorsal panel formed from an inner scrim material and a plurality of protective elements molded directly to an exterior surface of the inner scrim. Two or more protective elements can be formed as an array of discrete islands each separated by substantially zero-elevation interstitial spaces. The unitary dorsal panel can be sewn or otherwise attached circumferentially to the palmer sections of the glove. This array of protective elements can provide increased protection to the user's fingers, hands, wrists, and lower forearms while maintaining flexibility and tactile feel on both palmar and dorsal sides of the glove, increasing flexibility where needed without compromising protection.

A palm protector and a method for protecting the palm of the hand while allowing top portions of the hand to remain uncovered for comfort is disclosed. The palm protector is comprised of a flexible material having a grip relief and is removably-secured to the hand by means of an adhesive substrate. An object of the palm protector is to minimize injury to the palm and fingers during work or sporting activities while at the same time allowing the top of the hand to remain uncovered for proper perspiration and comfort.
