A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

A portable sanitizing system for rapidly dispensing reusable finger coverings for handling contaminated surfaces in a sanitary fashion. A battery operated ultraviolet LED system sanitizes finger coverings which are customized for use with the sanitizing device. The sanitary finger coverings can be rapidly applied to the user's hand without contamination, using a single hand. Repeated sanitization and utilization are similarly rapid and easy. The sanitizer can be carried by the user or attached to their uniform. The reusable finger covers can be custom fit to a variety of hand sizes and are optimally designed to work with the sanitizing device. The implement aids in grasping surfaces securely without touching the surface with the user's bare fingers.

A fingertip protective cover to reduce transmission of germs, viruses and the like when a person’s fingertip contacts a touchscreen, such as are used on many electronic devices. A dome shaped main body has a convex top surface, adapted for contact with touchscreen contact points. A bottom surface has a concave recess for receiving a portion of a human fingertip. At least the recess of the fingertip protective cover is sufficiently self-adhesive to releasably adhere to the fingertip in use, or alternatively an adhesive is disposed in the recess. The top surface is electrically conductive to permit use with electrically conductive (capacitive) touchscreens. The entirety of the fingertip protective cover may be formed of an electrically conductive material, or alternatively the top surface may be covered with a layer of electrically conductive material.

Disclosed herein is a disposable surgical gown. The disposable surgical gown includes a gown body having a pair of opposing sleeves, with each sleeve including a cuff at a distal end and two or more finger sleeves proximal the cuff at a first distance from the cuff. The two or more finger sleeves can extend from a lateral side of each sleeve.

Aspects herein are directed to a sleeve having a first length in a retracted state and a second length in an extended state. The sleeve may have a third opening positioned between first and second openings of a cylindrical tube. A releasable fastener may be affixed proximate the third opening and hold the sleeve in the retracted state when fastened and may allow the sleeve to move to the extended state when unfastened. An insert may be affixed around a perimeter of the third opening. The insert may include a thumb receiving portion. The thumb receiving portion may have a thumb opening. The insert may be retained interior to the cylindrical tube when the sleeve is in the retracted state.

An apparatus includes a first base portion having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The apparatus also includes a second base portion having a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface. The apparatus further includes a bridge portion coupling the first base portion and the second base portion. The apparatus additionally includes a tether one or more of extending from or coupled with at least one of the first base portion, the second base portion, or the bridge portion.

The invention relates to a protective device for a hand, which comprises precisely two finger protection elements and a palm protection element connecting the two finger protection elements, wherein one finger protection element is intended for the thumb and the other finger protection element is intended for a further finger, in particular the index finger, of a user, and the palm protection element is designed to be planar, so that it only comes into contact with the palm of a user's hand, whereas the back of the user's hand remains free or essentially free.

A thumb protector is provided which is engageable with a cast formed upon the hand of a patient. A body of the thumb protector has a ring portion defining an opening for a thumb of a patient wearing the cast. A surrounding portion is positionable to a sandwiched engagement between fabric wrapped around the hand and forearm of the patient and the arm and hand. An engagement point of the ring portion to the surrounding portion forms an anchor for the wrapped fabric to prevent slippage thereof once the cast is formed.

A tooth extraction glove is provided. The tooth extraction glove has finger coverings for only the index finger and thumb. Each finger covering has an aperture adjacent a distal end. The present invention also embodies separate mounting tips that cover the user's index finger and thumb tips, respectively. Each mounting tip provides one of a plurality of exchangeable prongs extending beyond the distal end of the mounting tip, wherein the prong slides through the above-mentioned aperture for gripping and extracting a tooth. The finger coverings provide decorative indicia to effectuate a non-threatening feel and appearance while the prongs extract the tooth.

A motorcycle rider hand signal glove that promotes safe visible hand signals while riding singly or in a group and does not require any form of electrical power is disclosed. I do not know of any other item that exist that compares to my motorcycle hand signal glove.
