A glove that is less prone to slip on the hand, and/or that provides for better tactile sensation, and/or that provides a better outer grip. The glove has an outer surface, an inner surface, and one or more of: ridges, an inner grip material, and one or more sensory windows at places where greater tactile sensation is desired. The inner grip material friction with the skin and/or is tacky to help maintain the glove in position on the hand. The glove may also include an outer material and/or throwing grip material.

An appendage protection assembly for an infant includes a set of sleeves. Each sleeve has first end that is open so that the first end is configured to insert a respective appendage of the infant into the sleeve. The sleeve is configured to insulate the respective appendage and to shield the respective appendage from contact with a device that is coupled to the respective appendage. Each of a set of slits is positioned in a second end of a respective sleeve and extends into opposing sides of the respective sleeve to define a pair of flaps. The pair of flaps is configured to be separated to allow access to digits of the respective appendage that is positioned in the respective sleeve. Each of a set of closures that is coupled to a respective sleeve proximate to an associated slit is positioned to selectively close the associated slit.

A glove has a window providing an exposed back of the hand and a fastener positioned about the wrist. Each finger of the glove includes a slot connected to the window, thereby exposing both the back of the hand and the backs of the fingers when worn. A pocket at the end of each finger fully covers the fingertip of a wearer. The sides of the gloves may extend upwardly enough to cover the sides of the hand when the glove is worn. Textures may be provided on the palm of the glove to impart improved grip to the wearer.

An apparatus includes a first base portion having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. Disclosed are various embodiments for thumb protectors for serving plated food. A thumb sleeve slides over a wearer's thumb to prevent contact with food to be served.

A finger sleeve is disclosed. The finger sleeve includes a tubular element configured to fit on a portion of a proximal phalange of a user's finger. The tubular element defines a length such that a second end of the finger sleeve does not extend over a fingernail of the user's finger. A front section of the tubular element is configured to be positioned over a palm-ward facing portion of the user's finger. A flap is attached at a first end of the finger sleeve. The flap covers at least a portion of a distal part of the user's palm and spans from a first end of the tubular element to a second end of the tubular element.

A glove used in sports such as football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, snowboarding or motorcycle riding or work such as construction or heavy machinery operation that includes stiffening components attached on top of each finger portion of the glove and anchored beyond the base knuckle on top of the glove to prevent the fingers from hyper-extending or jamming and creating a protective exoskeleton for the entire hand while minimally affecting the degree of freedom and range of motion for the fingers. Each stiffening component is comprised of multiple slits or hinges as well as a sliding swivel pivot hinge which allow the stiffening components to bend in unison with each finger but lock in place to form a solid element and prevent the fingers from hyper-extending when the finger and its accompanying stiffening component are straightened.

Protective element or attachment to place on a glove finger, consisting in a resistant, hard piece with a half-round shape, closed at its end and open at the opposite end and partly on its lateral sides. Moreover, said element has its top part in the shape of an elongated semicircle connected to a half-ring. A finger brace device is disclosed herein. The finger brace device can comprise a first hinge component configured to connect a proximal component configured to fit around at least a first portion of a finger near a wrist, to an intermediate component located at a central portion of the apparatus, wherein the proximal component is located at a lateral portion of the apparatus. Also disclosed is a second hinge component configured to connect the intermediate component of the apparatus to a distal component configured to fit around at least a second portion of the finger near a finger nail, wherein the distal component is located at a distal portion of the apparatus.

A strap approximately one-inch wide lines the inner hand extending between the tip of the thumb to the tip of the index finger used to pinch, twist, or grip and hold hot items. A matted nap or pile material similar to the friction of human skin (under side of suede) faces hot items handled or manipulated by the strap on hand.
