A personal respiratory protection device (10) comprising an upper panel (18), a central panel (16), and a lower panel (20), the central panel (16) being separated from each of the upper and lower panels (18) by a first and second fold (36), seam, weld (76) or bond, respectively, such that device is capable of being folded flat for storage along the first and second fold (36), seam, weld (76) or bond and opened to form a cup-shaped air chamber over the nose and mouth of the wearer when in use, wherein the lower panel (20) includes a stiffening sheet (40) which has a longitudinal crease line, wherein the stiffening sheet (40) is folded about the longitudinal crease line when the device is in use.

Various embodiments of a filtering face-piece respirator and a method of making such respirator are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the filtering face-piece respirator includes a mask body and a harness attached to the mask body. The mask body includes a corrugated filtering structure including peaks separated by valleys, and bridging filaments that are in discontinuous contact with at least one of an interior surface and an exterior surface of the corrugated filtering structure. The bridging filaments are attached to at least some of the peaks.

A novel airtight protective mask comprises: a mask body sequentially having at least an outer layer, a middle layer and an inner layer; at least two airtight sheets; each one of the aright sheets comprising a fixation portion and a sealing portion extending from the fixation portion; the fixation portion configured to cover one side of the mask body and fixedly attached to the outer layer and the inner layer; the sealing portion arranged corresponding to a direction of the inner layer; two fixed attachment area sets, and each one of the fixed attachment area sets comprising an upper fixation area and a lower fixation area; the upper and lower fixation areas fused to the mask body corresponding to two upper and lower ends of the sealing portion respectively; and a lanyard set, comprising two lanyards; the two lanyards connected to the two sides of the mask body respectively.

A face mask includes a body, two cords, and a retaining bead having a cord constraining passage. The body has upper and lower body edges spaced apart from one another by opposed left and right body edges. The body has left and right cord channels along the left and right body edges, respectively. Each cord extends from a first end, through a corresponding one of the left and right cord channels, to a second end. Each cord has first and second segments proximate the first and second ends, respectively. The first and second segments of each cord pass through the cord constraining passage. The cord constraining passage is sized to frictionally engage the first and second segments of each cord such that the retaining bead holds its position. The retaining bead is slidable along the first and second segments of each cord to advance the retaining bead toward the body.

Illustrated views of an exemplary face mask for protecting people from spreading infectious diseases and to allow an opening to speak, eat, talk, etc. is presented. The face mask is useful for allowing a mouth and a nose of a person to be exposed or covered without removing the face mask. The opening of the face mask is useful for the person to eat, drink, talk on the phone, to talk in conversation when socially distant, etc.

A face covering having a front panel and a back panel, each of a first fabric, wherein at least one of the panels is joined to second fabric sandwiched between the panel portions of the first fabric. At least one gathering is within a portion of the back panel. The gathering extends along a height of the back panel. The gathering is offset from the center of a length of the back panel.

Transparent facial masks of regenerated cellulose and other personal protective gear such as gowns, booties, surgical caps, surgical drapes, gloves and eyewear are provided.

A face mask for filtering air has a mask body for extending over a nose and mouth area of a user. The mask body and integrally joined supporting straps are formed of an elastomeric material that is unitary in structure so as to be continuous and seamless throughout. The elastomeric material has physical properties that provide shape retention and elasticity such that the peripheral edge of the mask conforms and seals to a face of the user while the mask spans over the nose and mouth area of the user. A disposable filter cartridge is releasable mounted within a filter opening in the mask body. Upon removal of the filter cartridge, the remaining mask body and straps are devoid of any crevices inaccessible to a finger whereby all surfaces of the mask body are accessible for wiping with the finger. An optional sterilization case receives the mask therein for sterilization.

A face mask covering the face of a user has intended purpose of protecting the user's respiratory system. The face mask has ergonomic shaping for a comfortable fit and secure placement. The complete perimeter of the face mask has an adhesive elastic tape that is ergonomically shaped to hold properties and conform to the facial structure of the user. Removal tabs are connected to points of the elastic tape opposing the face mask contact side. The adhesive elastic tape is bordering the face mask on the area of the face mask, where there is contact to the user's facial skin. The shaping of the adhesive elastic tape conforms with the face mask's configuration, providing sufficient material overlap for bonding. Furthermore, the shape of the adhesive elastic tape has a thickness to maintain a tight grip and secure placement on the user's face with ergonomic fit attributes of facial structure.

A multi-purpose protection mask for protecting the human face and head against viruses, bacteria, dust or environmental harsh impacts is presented. It has four elements. A face shield transparent sheet covers comfortably the user's face providing adequate space for freely breathing and wearing glasses. A removable and replaceable filter mask element which is a multi-layer filter piece of a proper material affixed over an opening window in the face shield. A ventilator for draining and filtering the exhalation air and humidity before dumping into the atmosphere and it consists of exhaust fans, suction tubes, suction vents, and exit filters. The ventilator prevents condensation of fogging on the face shield and glasses. Another element is a head cover mask made of a fabric material affixed to the face shield element. Fastener strips means are provided for keeping the face shield comfortable and stable on the wearer's face.
