A facemask includes an air-filtering portion comprising an air-permeable filtering media; a see-through portion in the filtering media; and a layered portion on each opposing side of the see-through portion. The see-through portion is configured so that, in use, a mouth of a wearer is visible therethrough, and is formed from a transparent film covering a void in, and fixed along its periphery to, the filtering media. The film extends across the length of the facemask, including over the void, forming layered portions of film on filtering media on opposing sides of the clear-portion. A method of manufacture includes removing, e.g., kiss-cutting, the air-permeable filtering media away to form the see-through portion, after layering the film onto the filtering media.

This resistance to airflow is achieved through an alteration of the intrinsic structure of the plurality of nonwoven fibrous layers in the sinus region without adding additional material to the mask body. The alteration of the intrinsic structure assists in preventing eyewear fogging.

A face shield adapted to protect the face from biohazards during medical procedures is disclosed. The central portion of the face shield includes a horizontally centered cut out that extends downwardly from a top edge or top portion. The cut out is sized and positioned to allow a loupe light to pass through. The face shield includes two or more post openings for use in coupling the shield to a shield frame. The shield frame is worn about the user's head without relying on attachment to a pair of loupes (if worn). The shield has left and right side portions that extend along and attach to posts along the sides of the frame.

A protective shield configured to be disposed over an N95 respirator worn by a user includes an inner shield and an outer shield. The inner shield defines a body, a flap, and a living hinge connecting the body and the flap with one another to enable the flap to fold under a user's chin while the body extends across a user's face. The body includes a center portion and first and second wings extending laterally outwardly in opposite directions from the center portion. The outer shield defines a body having a center portion and first and second wings extending laterally outwardly in opposite directions from the center portion. The wings of the outer shield are configured to releasably engage the respective wings of the inner shield to thereby releasably engage the outer shield with the inner shield with the center portions thereof in spaced-apart relation.

An anti-fogging face mask can include a main body, a formable seal, and baffles. The main body may include a panel sized for coverage of mouth and nostrils in a donned position of the face mask. The formable seal member may be disposed along an upper portion of the main body and arranged for obstructing vapor flow from the mouth or nostrils to eyewear when the eyewear is positioned over the face mask in the donned position. A first baffle may be extending rearwardly and upwardly away from the formable seal. A second baffle may be positioned below the first baffle and extending rearwardly and upwardly away from the formable seal. A third baffle may be positioned below the second baffle and extending rearwardly and downwardly away from the formable seal.
