An item of personal protective equipment includes a face shield having a transparent plastic element configured to fit over a person's face below the person's eyes, and wherein the bottom of edge of the plastic element is shaped to match contours of the person's face at the person's chin, a sealing structure comprising a portion of soft material coupled to the top edge of the plastic element such that the portion of soft material contacts the person's face below the person's eyes, thereby creating a seal, wherein the sealing structure comprises an elongated strip with a U-shaped cross section and a flap that extends from a top of the sealing structure towards the person's face, and a left temple coupled to a left side of the plastic element and a right temple coupled to a right side of the plastic element.

A face mask for filtering air has a mask body for extending over a nose and mouth area of a user. The mask body and integrally joined supporting straps are formed of an elastomeric material that is unitary in structure so as to be continuous and seamless throughout. The elastomeric material has physical properties that provide shape retention and elasticity such that the peripheral edge of the mask conforms and seals to a face of the user while the mask spans over the nose and mouth area of the user. A disposable filter cartridge is releasable mounted within a filter opening in the mask body. Upon removal of the filter cartridge, the remaining mask body and straps are devoid of any crevices inaccessible to a finger whereby all surfaces of the mask body are accessible for wiping with the finger. An optional sterilization case receives the mask therein for sterilization.

A continuous elongated ring configured to engage a filtration textile to a nose-mouth perimeter of a user, said continuous elongated ring including an upper curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a nasal periphery of the user; said upper curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive an upper support strap configured to engage the user's head, and a lower curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a mouth periphery of the user, the lower curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive a lower support strap configured to engage the user's head.

There is provided a disposable mask that can prevent an impairment of a fit feeling by displacement of the mask even when the face of a wearer moves due to a conversation or a change in an expression of the face. A face-contact body of a disposable mask includes a fixed part joined to a peripheral edge part, an inner peripheral wall part in an annular shape extending inward from the fixed part, a central opening surrounded by the inner peripheral wall part, a first layer disposed on a side of a front face, a second layer disposed on a side of a rear face, and an intermediate layer disposed between the first and second layers in a front-rear direction. The first and second layers and the intermediate layer are joined to one another only through the fixed part.

A stiffened, collapse resistant, pleated filter which is formed from a tube of filter media having an open end, a closed end, and an interior volume, and includes a section of helical, circumferentially arranged pleats, and may also include a support element. The said pleated section describes a collapsed ruled hyperboloid. The said filter may include one or more layers of filter media material. The current invention does not require any notching or pre-forming of the said pleats, as all the said pleats are formed concurrently by a controlled twisting of an initial filter media tube.

A face mask is provided for filtering a respiratory air flow of a user, the face mask comprising a main body, an external support frame and at least one inlet connector. The main body comprises elastomeric material and is configured to accommodate to facial features of the user. The main body further comprises at least one air inlet opening and at least one air outlet opening. The external support frame supports the main body. The inlet connector extends at least partly through the at least one air inlet of the main body and a corresponding air inlet of the support frame and comprises a valve mount for receiving and holding an inlet valve and a filter mount for receiving and holding a disposable filter element.

An air sterilization mask including main body and air sterilization component. Main body has accommodation space. Air sterilization component includes casing, airflow generating unit and light sterilizer. Casing has inlet end, outlet end, top opening, bottom opening and channel. Main body is selectively connected to one of inlet and outlet ends. Top opening is located on inlet end. Bottom opening is located on outlet end. Two opposite sides of channel are respectively in fluid communication with top opening and bottom opening. Accommodation space and outside environment are in fluid communication with each other via channel. Airflow generating unit is selectively disposed in one of inlet end, outlet end, and channel. Light sterilizer is disposed in casing and light emitted from light sterilizer is irradiated toward at least a part of channel.

The present invention relates to universal face masks and more particularly to face masks made from hemp fibre. It further relates to face masks having multiple layers of fibres for filtration of the air pollutants and which can be made for use by the humans as well as designed to be worn by animals especially dogs and horses. The hemp face mask of the present invention comprises of at least three layers of hemp fabric with varying weaving techniques; at least one pair of drawstring cords for adjusting the hemp face mask on the wearer's face; at least one toggle lock with each pair of drawstrings; a small pouch positioned at the upper part of the hemp face mask; and a pair of hemp fabric padding.

An article of manufacture for a wearable facemask with a filter pocket that accepts a filter element is disclosed. The mask is a two-part system comprised of a removable filter element and an all-cotton mask. The mask possesses a pocket sized to accept the filter element while positioning the filter element to predominantly cover the nose and mouth of a user ensuring that the user inhales filtered air.

An air inhalation and exhalation filtering mask has a mask body, an inhalation device, an exhalation device, and first and second filtering structures, wherein, on the middle portion of the mask body, first and second openings are respectively configured at an upper and a lower position. The inhalation device is configured on the mask body and covers the first opening. Air flows from the front side of the mask body, passing through the inhalation device, and flows to the rear side. The exhalation device is configured on the mask body and covers the second opening. Air flows from the rear side of the mask body, passing through exhalation device and flows to the front side. The first filtering structure filters air flowing to the rear side of the mask body, while the second filtering structure filters air flowing to the front side of the mask body.
