Directional indicator for protective face masks
10420965 · 2019-09-24 ·

An electronic directional indicator includes a microcontroller in electronic communication with an electronic compass, an electronic motion-detecting module and at least one light source that is controllably illuminable. A battery life of the electronic directional indicator is managed by monitoring the electronic motion-detecting module for motion within pre-defined time periods and reducing power to electronic components accordingly. The electronic directional indicator can be placed on the face shield portion of a self-contained breathing apparatus face mask to provide a constant source of orientation for firefighters in reduced- or zero-visibility environments.

APPARATUS FOR DISPERSING IMPACT FORCES
20190269191 · 2019-09-05 ·

A system for proactively adjusting to impact forces has first and second walls spaced apart from one another to define a stationary enclosed cavity therebetween; a movable member inside the enclosed cavity; an actuator; a proximity sensor; computer memory; a processor in data communication with the actuator, the proximity sensor, and the computer memory; programming causing the processor to determine a potential impact location on at least one of the first and second walls using data obtained from the proximity sensor; and programming causing the processor to activate the actuator based on the potential impact location, activation of the actuator causing the movable member to move inside the enclosed cavity prior to receiving the impact forces.

HELMET SYSTEM AND PROTECTIVE WEARABLE SYSTEM
20190261724 · 2019-08-29 ·

A protective wearable system comprises a helmet for providing protection and enhancing safety to a rider on a vehicle. In one embodiment, the helmet comprises a LED display configured to produce visual information to vehicles and pedestrians surrounding the rider. The helmet further comprises a control module and a communication module configured to establish a point-to-multipoint communication group such that the rider can transmit or receive real-time and/or just-in-time information to other members of a riding group. The protective wearable system further comprises one or more illuminated wearables and accessories configured to produce light signals for clearly depicting silhouette of the rider and synchronized to the helmet for making the rider more visible and identifiable to nearby motorists.

Electrical connection for suspension band attachment slot of a hard hat

A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.

Impact protection suit
