HELMET DAMPENING FIT SYSTEM
A fit system for a helmet can include an adjuster including a width adjustment track, and first and second pods moveably coupled to the width adjustment track with a first and second support arm, the second pod comprising a lateral offset from the first pod. The fit system can further include a dial moveably coupled to the adjustor, such that movement of the dial changes a size of the lateral offset between the first pod and the second pod. The fit system can further include a hanger flexibly coupled to both the first pod and the second pod and adapted to allow for adjustment of the lateral offset between the first pod and the second pod. The hanger can further be adapted to allow for movement of the first pod and the second pod in a direction substantially perpendicular to the lateral offset without movement of the dial.
Headgear with a spring buffered occipital cradle
A headgear for a head safety product such as a face shield, hardhat or welding helmet includes a spring buffered cradle mounted on the horizontal band of the headgear to improve the fit, function, stability and comfort of the headgear. The cradle is flexible and has a concave inner surface contoured to conform to the shape of the head. A spring element is coupled between the cradle and the horizontal band to buffer the tension between the band and the head and more equally distribute pressure across the head. In a preferred embodiment, an occipital cradle includes two leaf springs coupled to the rear portion of the horizontal band.
Helmet with carbon cage and adjustable fit system
A helmet includes an outer shell and an impact absorbing layer adjacent to the outer shell. The helmet also includes a fit system mounted to the impact absorbing layer. The fit system includes a rear portion that includes a rotational mount having a ball and an extension mounted to the ball. The fit system also includes a rear mount that includes a plurality of grooves. Each groove in the plurality of grooves is configured to receive the rotational mount of the rear portion of the fit system.
Safety helmet with an intermediate piece for changing the center of gravity and arrangements with such a safety helmet and two alternative intermediate pieces
A safety helmet (100) includes an arched helmet shell (7), a front holding element (2) attached to the helmet shell (7) and a curved front bearing element (5). The front bearing element lies flat against the forehead of a user of the safety helmet (100). A rigid intermediate piece (1) bridges a distance between the front holding element (2) and the front bearing element (5). This intermediate piece (1) is mechanically connected to the front holding element (2) and to the front bearing element (5), wherein at least one connection is detachable. The present invention pertains, furthermore, to two arrangements with such a safety helmet and with two alternative intermediate pieces or with two alternative front bearing elements with a respective intermediate piece.
ADJUSTABLE HEADWEAR SUSPENSION AND HEADWEAR HAVING ADJUSTABLE HEADWEAR SUSPENSION
A headwear includes an outer covering and an adjustable suspension configured to adjust between a plurality of fit positions. The outer covering sits at a different height on a head of a user in either an upward direction and/or a downward direction for each of the plurality of fit positions when the headwear is worn by the user. The adjustable suspension includes a plurality of straps that each include at least one engagement feature of a first type and at least one engagement feature of a second type. The engagement features of the first type are configured to detachably fasten to one of the engagement features of the second type.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
In an embodiment a protective helmet includes an outer shell configured for distributing impact forces, a support structure spaced apart from and supporting the outer shell, the support structure placeable on a head of a wearer of the protective helmet, wherein the support structure is subdivided into a front support and a rear support spaced apart from the front support, and an adjustable tensioning device configured for exerting a tensioning force on the support structure so that a force flow of the tensioning force for fixing the outer shell on the head of the wearer flows completely through the outer shell and for varying the tensioning force by an adjustment.
CLIP DEVICE FOR STABILIZING ITEMS
A clip device that secures items together to stabilize movement. An apparatus including the clip device and a strap is secured to a portion of a helmet, ideally so that the strap extends over the top of a wearer's head from ear to ear, to stabilize headwear during use.
MULTIDIRECTIONAL PROTECTION NET WITH ANGLED STRAPS FOR ALL HELMETS WITH AN OUTER SHELL
A helmet suspension system for use with a helmet shell is provided. The system includes a circular strap barrier configured to encircle a wearer's head below the apex and attached to the helmet shell via one or more shell-connecting straps. A first set of angled straps is connected to the helmet shell and to the circular strap barrier through one or more net-connecting straps, each angled strap forming an arch with one face in contact with the wearer's head. The angled straps act as chords connecting two points on the helmet shell without passing through a central intersection node to enhance tensile resistance to lateral and top-of-head impacts. In some embodiments, a second set of angled straps connects to the circular strap barrier to provide additional multidirectional support.
MULTIDIRECTIONAL PROTECTION NET WITH ANGLED STRAPS FOR ALL HELMETS WITH AN OUTER SHELL
A helmet suspension system featuring angled straps acting as chords between points on a circular strap barrier or helmet shell, avoiding a central node to enable immediate response to lateral impacts. The system includes a fixed, non-adjustable net integrated with the circular strap barrier for stable head retention without manual adjustment. Straps with distinct tensile strengths, optionally combined with elastomeric components, enhance energy absorption and force distribution across the helmet shell. The design is lightweight, simple, and improves ventilation and comfort without bulky pads or complex mechanisms.
