PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR
Protective headgear that is wearable on a head of a user and may be configured to provide impact protection and contaminant protection. The protective headgear may comprise a helmet configured to protect the user's head against impacts and a contaminant blocker configured to protect against contaminants (e.g., infectants), such as pathogens (e.g., viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms) or other biohazards, chemical hazards, or other hazardous substances, transmittable to or from the user (e.g. as part of spatter, an aerosol, or other droplets). The helmet and the contaminant blocker may be configured to connect or otherwise interact with one another to be usable together. This may facilitate their use to enhance protection of the user and/or an environment of the user, while maintaining performance of the user, including by providing breathability, being spatter proof, ensuring proper vision, being antifogging, being customizable, and/or having other desirable attributes.
SPORTS HELMET WITH ADJUSTABLE CHIN STRAP SYSTEM
A protective sports helmet that includes a chin strap system that allows for rapid, one-handed adjustment of a chin strap assembly by the player while he/she is wearing the helmet is provided. The chin strap assembly includes a protective chin cup and a pair of straps extending from opposed sides of the chin cup and having a plurality of securing elements. The assembly also includes a pair of adjustable connectors affixed to the helmet and that include a central opening that receives an extent of the strap and a lever that engages a portion of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in a first direction, and prevents movement of the strap in a second direction when the lever is engaged with at least one of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in both the first and second directions when the lever is not engaged with the securing elements.
Helmet with split type skeleton structure
The present disclosure discloses a helmet with a split type skeleton structure. The helmet includes a helmet body; the helmet body is composed of a head guard and a chin guard which are separated; the head guard and the chin guard are mounted through cooperation between a fastened spliced skeleton and a plug pin; the spliced skeleton is composed of two skeleton connection members arranged inside the head guard and a chin skeleton arranged inside the chin guard; and hollows of a surface of the chin skeleton are fixedly connected with a plurality of one-piece structured reinforcing ribs.
In-molded helmet chinbar
A helmet includes a shell having an interior surface, a padding disposed along the interior surface of the shell, and a chinbar. The padding defines a first engagement surface positioned at a first lateral side of the padding and a second engagement surface positioned at an opposing second lateral side of the padding. The chinbar includes a cage, a first flange, and a second flange. The cage includes a first end defining a third engagement surface and a second end defining a fourth engagement surface. The third engagement surface interfaces with the first engagement surface and the fourth engagement surface interfaces with the second engagement surface. The first flange extends from the first end of the cage. The second flange extends from the second end of the cage. The first flange and the second flange of the chinbar are embedded within the padding.
CHIN PROTECTOR, ASSEMBLY AND KIT OF PARTS THEREWITH AND METHOD OF RETROFITTING A CHIN PROTECTOR
The present disclosure relates to a chin protector 10, 10′, 10″ to be attached to a protective face shield 100, 100′ or a protective helmet 200. The present disclosure further relates to an assembly 300, 300′ of a protective face shield 100, 100′ and a chin protector 10, 10′, 10″ as well as to an assembly 400 of a protective helmet 200 and a chin protector 10, 10′, 10″. Moreover, the present disclosure relates to a kit of parts comprising a protective face shield 100, 100′ and a chin protector 10, 10′, 10″ as well as to a method of retrofitting a protective face shield 100, 100′ with a chin protector 10, 10′, 10″. The chin protector 10, 10′, 10″ is provided generally planarly and is bendable to a curved configuration for use. The chin protector 10, 10′, 10″ is easily and quickly attachable to a protective face shield 100, 100′ or a protective helmet 200 and provides for an increased freedom of selection.

Cranial protection cell
IMPROVEMENTS INTRODUCED IN A CRANIAL PROTECTION CELL, formed by an outer shell (11, 20) internally coated by absorbent material (12, 12′), said material comprising a first layer (21) immediately below the shell, of closed cell foam, rigid or semi-rigid in contact with a second layer (22) of open cell viscoelastic foam, the interface between said first and second layers being provided with interdigitations comprising cavities (24) in said first layer in which protrusions (23), provided in said second layer, fit in a complementary and cooperative manner. Absorbent supporting material are further provided in the jaw region (32), maxillary regions (33, 34) and mastoid regions. When closed, the visor (37) is embedded in the corresponding opening of the cranial protection cell, and its opening occurs in two steps, the former comprising forward movement, and the latter upward rotation. The cranial protection cell (CPC) further comprises a removable chin guard (54) whose unlocking mechanism is driven by buttons (51) located on either side of the shell.
Chin strap
A chin strap includes a protective shell including a curved and convex contour extending between lengthwise ends of the shell, the shell further including a first curved edge extending between the lengthwise ends of the shell and a second curved edge extending between the lengthwise ends of the shell. A cross-section along a lengthwise central axis of the chin strap defines a first shell portion including the first curved edge and a second shell portion including the second curved edge. The first shell portion of the cross-section defines a first surface area between the lengthwise central axis and the first curved edge, and the second shell portion of the cross-section defines a second surface area between the lengthwise central axis and the second curved edge, where the first surface area is less than the second surface area.
