AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
Surgical Garment
A surgical garment for use with a helmet, wherein the garment comprises a shell, a transparent face shield, and an attachment element coupled to the transparent face shield. The garment may be configured to define a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The attachment element configured to removably couple with a coupling member of the helmet, wherein the attachment element and coupling member comprise complementary coupling surfaces. The attachment element comprises a head having a distal surface and a proximal surface, and defining a coupling recess, the coupling recess is defined in the proximal surface of the head. The garment may comprise a first and second attachment element, with the first attachment element being coupled to upper portion of the transparent face shield and the second attachment element being coupled to lower portion of the transparent face shield.
FACE SHIELD FOR BASEBALL CAP
A face shield comprising: a shield having a perforation that receives a brim of a baseball cap, and a pair of tabs extending from the shield that engage opposing sides of an inner portion of the baseball cap. Each tab may include a projection extending away from the base, and the projection may be inserted into a sweatband within the baseball cap.
HIGH VISIBILITY MASK HAVING SELF-CONTAINED FILTRATION SYSTEM
A protective covering includes an adjustable frame having a headband portion, a face-perimeter portion, and a visor. The covering includes a substantially translucent shield and an air handling unit disposed on the visor. The air handling unit includes a fan and an intake filter disposed in fluidic communication with the fan. A power source is operatively coupled to the fan, and the fan is configured to move ambient air from an external environment, through the intake filter, and into a substantially contained internal environment. A relief filter is at least partially disposed in the substantially translucent shield.
Wearable Microbe Protective Shield
A wearable protective microbe shield is provided that has a transparent and bendable shield connected to the underside of a visor portion of a cap, helmet, or protective head gear. In one example, the cap is provided in the form of a baseball cap with a stiff curved front visor. In another example, the protective headgear is a hard hat. The visor has internal or external connectors that coupled to complementary connectors on the top of the transparent microbe shield. These connectors not only provide for removably coupling the microbe shield to the underside of the visor, they also act to add a level of stability and rigidness to the flexible microbe shield. In this way, the microbe shield has no support frame along its side or bottom surface, thereby facilitating exceptional and un-obstructed viewing by the user or wearer and providing exceptional protection against airborne microbes.
SAFETY HELMET WITH DISPOSABLE SANITARY FACE SHIELD AND METHOD
A safety helmet onto which a disposable face shield can be attached is provided. The safety helmet includes an outer shell and a bill extending from the outer shell. At least one integrally formed face shield attachment portion extends from a side of the safety helmet, for example a T-shaped tab. The disposable face shield has at least on slot cut into it which engages with the at least one face shield attachment portion to rotatably and removably attach the disposable face shield to the safety helmet. The bill forms a seal with the disposable face shield when the disposable face shield is in the lowered position.
SANITIZING FACE MASK
A sanitizing face mask inhibits the transmission of pathogens in air respired through the nose and mouth of a wearer. The mask includes hydrophobic inner and outer layers and an intermediate layer enclosed between them. The intermediate layer is saturated with a sanitizing liquid such as an ethanol solution. Respired air encounters the sanitizing liquid as it passes through the intermediate layer, killing pathogens borne on droplets or aerosols. The sanitizing mask protects the wearer, from pathogens in the inspired air, and others, from possible pathogens in the expired air of the wearer.
Upper garment worn during overhead welding
Described is an upper garment worn by welders while welding overhead, which is made of a breathable fabric and leather. The garment has a hood comprising leather attached to the neckline of the garment body, at least one leather sleeve, and leather on one shoulder and an upper front portion and an upper back portion of the garment that is contiguous with the at least one leather sleeve. The hood may be partially or completely made of leather, and the other sleeve may be leather. The strategic placement of leather on the garment improves the garment's durability, minimizes burns on the wearer from sparks and spatter, and protects the garment from the environment.
Method and apparatus for a safety beacon for a welding protection device
A protection device is disclosed, where the protection device comprises an eye protection shield, a light beacon, and a control circuitry to control the light beacon.
Surgical Helmet Assembly With A Reconfigurable Chin Bar
A face frame including features for coupling the surgical garment to a surgical helmet. The face frame (524) comprises a lower beam (528) connected by a pair of posts (526, 527). The posts of the face frame comprise a face frame coupler (552, 554) configured to removably couple the face frame to a surgical helmet.
