Protection device that promotes air flow for heat transfer
A portable fluid transportation enclosure can include a specimen carrier within a portable container that can be transported portably by a user. The carrier can define one or more specimen bores therein, where each specimen bore can be configured to receive a specimen therein. Such a gyroid shaped carrier within a container can improve heat transfer between specimen supported by the carrier and can help to limit shock transferred to the specimen within the carrier, such as from an impact to the container in which the gyroid carrier is located.
Protective headgear for sports participants, especially baseball fielders
A protective headgear for a baseball or softball fielder includes a rigid outer protective shell that has a first side portion, an opposing second side portion and a brim that extends outwardly from a front portion. The outer protective shell has a top opening and a rear opening that is defined between the first and second side portions. As a result, the protective headgear does not completely circumscribe the fielder's head. The protective headgear also includes an impact absorption material disposed along an inner surface of the outer protective shell and also an inner cap to be worn beneath the outer protective shell. The inner cap is formed of a breathable material and can be in the form of a skull cap.
Sports helmet having modular components
Disclosed herein are sports helmets having modular components. A modular component includes an eyewear adapter that is releasably attachable to the helmet and configured to interface with corresponding eyewear in an orientation that permits a wearer of the helmet to see through the eyewear. The eyewear adapter is configured such that, in use, the eyewear adapter enhances the fit or function of the eyewear relative to the use of the helmet and the eyewear without the eyewear adapter. A modular component includes electronics modules that can be mechanically and electrically coupled to the helmet. A modular component includes other functional modules that affect the aerodynamics of the helmet, the air flow of the helmet, the fit of the helmet, or the look of the helmet.
Helmet, mounting system for a helmet and method of using same
A helmet is provided. The helmet includes a helmet shell and a mounting system laterally positioned on the helmet shell. The helmet further includes a visor removably and pivotally connected to the mounting system, the visor being movable between lowered and raised positions. Finally, the helmet includes a peak removably connected to the mounting system, the mounting system being operable to disengage the visor and the peak upon manual operation thereof. A mounting system for customizing a helmet is also provided. Finally, a method of configuring the helmet is provided.
VISOR ASSEMBLY
A visor assembly that is configured to be secured to a tactical helmet wherein the visor assembly includes a visor operable to shield a face of a wearer of the tactical helmet. The visor assembly include a visor body wherein the visor body includes a front end and a rear end. The visor body has a shape that is defined by perimeter edges wherein the perimeter edges are contiguous. The visor body has integrally formed therein a central attachment member. The central attachment member includes elements that provide releasable securing of the visor body to the helmet. In a preferred embodiment, a mounting shroud is present on the helmet and wherein the mounting shroud is configured to engage elements on the central attachment member so as to facilitate the operable coupling of the visor body to the mounting shroud.
SELECTIVELY ATTACHABLE VISORS FOR FIELD MASKS
A visor that can be removably attached to a variety of field masks, including those used in softball and baseball and other sports, to protect the user from weather elements and minimize sun damage while not affecting play and withstanding movement. In some embodiments, the visor may include a curvilinear base having at least one recess. The visor may additionally include a brim attached to, or formed with, the base. The visor may further include a fastener received in the at least one recess, where the fastener is configured to secure the visor to the field mask.
HELMET VENT BEZEL
A helmet may include a helmet body, a fit system, a bezel, and a hardware retainer. The helmet body may have an outer shell and an energy management layer. The bezel may be separate from the outer shell and coupled to the helmet body at the vent opening of the helmet, encircle the vent opening, and have a hardware opening extending through the bezel and an anchor opening in the bezel adjacent the hardware opening. The hardware retainer may be positioned behind and coupled to the bezel. The hardware retainer may include a hardware receiving aperture aligned with the hardware opening and a hardware retainer cover coupled to a rear side of the hardware retainer. The hardware retainer may further include an anchor recess aligned with the anchor opening. The bezel may be in-molded into the energy management layer.
Protective helmet with attachment mechanism for securing accessories
A protective helmet includes a shell, which defines a bottom opening and an internal cavity for receiving the wearer's head. The shell further includes a brim with a central opening defined in the brim. An attachment mechanism for securing an accessory to the shell includes one or more openings defined through the brim on either side of the central opening, wherein each of the openings includes a larger diameter portion and a smaller diameter portion, which are separated by a detent. Each opening receives a respective boss of the accessory, which can be selectively advanced from the larger diameter portion to the small diameter portion of the opening. Furthermore, the attachment mechanism includes a slot defined in and along the edge of the shell, with the slot corresponding with the central opening defined in the brim, such that the slot is configured to receive a projection extending from the accessory.
Helmet
A helmet according to the present invention includes: a head frame being open toward the user's face, designed to cover the user's head, and having a rotation part at both sides; a face frame coupled to be turned up and down about the rotation parts and selectively closing the opening of the head frame; and a sun visor disposed at an upper portion of the face frame and coupled to be turned up and down about the rotation parts, in which the sun visor is turned up with the face frame when the face frame is turned up to open the opening of the head frame, and is fixed regardless of rotation of the face frame when a predetermined rotational limit is reached.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
