Pilot and passenger seat

The present invention achieves technical advantages as a pilot and passenger seating. An aircraft employs a pilot seat, comprising a contoured structure having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, with left and right arm supports that include an articulated control knob, movable in three rectangular axes and rotatable about a vertical axis to provide one or more aircraft steering functions for an aircraft, and a touch-sensitive control surface for controlling one or more power system components. A passenger seat, having a contoured structure, having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, a headrest, a seat, a left support member, and a right support member are adapted to cradle a portion of a passenger's body to support the passenger during travel.

Breath Deflector and Method of Use

The present invention is a breath deflector apparatus and method of use. The apparatus comprises a breadth deflector preferably connected to a goggle frame, with the goggle frame being connected to an adjustable securement device that is adjustably connected to a preferably cold weather helmet. The breath deflector apparatus is preferably adjustable by twisting a knob mounted to the front of the helmet and is preferably adapted such that once adjusted, the breath deflector moves in synchronization or unison with the movement of a user's head within the helmet and thus prevents loss of securement and maladjustment of the breath deflector while using the breath deflector and during movement of the user's head.

A visor assembly for a helmet includes a helmet cover configured to couple to a helmet, a visor pivotably coupled to the helmet cover and configured to selectively pivot between a stowage position and one or more usage positions relative to the helmet cover, and a latching mechanism coupled to the visor. The latching mechanism includes a first pawl configured to rotate between a locked position and an unlocked position. The latching mechanism is further configured to releasably lock the visor in one or more of the stowage position and the one or more usage positions.

Combined fast-switch tintable visor

A visor for a helmet is disclosed. The visor includes a first lens member, which includes a first transparent shield configured with a photochromic layer. The photochromic layer is configured to adjust a first transmission state of a first viewing area of the first lens member based on the transmission of ambient light through the first viewing area. The visor also includes a second lens member that includes an electrochromic layer. The electrochromic layer is configured to adjust the transmission of ambient light through a second viewing area upon an application of a voltage to the electrochromic layer. The visor also includes a controller configured to adjust a voltage applied to the electrochromic layer, and an attachment element coupled to the first lens member configured to attach to a headgear.

A glare visor (13) for reducing ambient light intensity perceived by a wearer viewing a head-up display (3) employing display light (7) including a given wavelength(s) of light. The visor includes a visor body comprising optically transparent material which is partially absorbing of light of visible optical wavelengths thereby to reduce the intensity of ambient light transmitted therethrough to the wearer. A transparent optical coating (12) is formed upon a surface of the visor body which is partially transmissive of light of visible optical wavelengths amongst which it is preferentially transmissive of light of a sub-range of wavelengths for including therein the wavelength(s) of display light. This permits a perceived enhancement of contrast between display light (7) relative to ambient light (8).
