HELMET ASSEMBLY WITH VISOR ASSEMBLY HAVING A BREATH GUARD
A helmet including a visor assembly having a breath guard is provided. The visor assembly includes a visor pivotally connected to the helmet shell and having an inner surface facing the cavity when in the lowered position. The visor assembly further includes a breath guard interface provided below the visor and a breath guard which has a visor interface connected to the breath guard interface of the visor assembly. The breath guard includes a flexible member connected to and extending from the visor interface and a contact surface shaped and configured to engage the wearer's face around the nose and mouth for deflecting humid air away from the inner surface of the visor. The flexible member has a channel extending along the visor interface having a substantially V-shaped cross-section configured to allow the flexible member to be deformed when raising the visor.
Breath Deflector and Method of Use
The present invention is a breath deflector apparatus and method of use. The apparatus comprises a breadth deflector preferably connected to a goggle frame, with the goggle frame being connected to an adjustable securement device that is adjustably connected to a preferably cold weather helmet. The breath deflector apparatus is preferably adjustable by twisting a knob mounted to the front of the helmet and is preferably adapted such that once adjusted, the breath deflector moves in synchronization or unison with the movement of a user's head within the helmet and thus prevents loss of securement and maladjustment of the breath deflector while using the breath deflector and during movement of the user's head.
Multi-layer anti-fog compositions and processes for making same
Multi-layer anti-fog compositions comprising an anti-fog layer and a protective layer. The anti-fog layer comprises cellulose acetate and a plasticizer and has opposing major planar surfaces. The protective layer has opposing major planar surfaces that are oriented substantially coplanar, at least in part, to the anti-fog layer that forms a multi-layered structure. The multi-layer anti-fog compositions further comprise one or more connectors, and at least one of the connectors extends through the multi-layered structure.

Helmet with cheek pads and method for the use thereof
A helmet having a cheek pad is provided. The helmet for use with the cheek air pad includes an outer shell having an inside surface, an inner liner surrounding the head of the user and operatively mounted to the helmet outer shell, a chin bar disposed below the face visor, the chin bar having an inside surface facing toward the person when wearing the helmet and a breath guard. The inner liner generally has an inner face and a transparent face visor is attached to the helmet outer shell. The cheek pad is preferably embodied as a deformable element extending upwardly and/or inwardly from the helmet inner liner on the right and/or left inner side of the face visor or goggles. The deformable element is configured to be in contact with the face of the user and the inner edge of the breath guard and the inner liner.
SELF-CLEANING USING TRANSPARENT ULTRASONIC ARRAY
An active self-cleaning device for transparent substrates includes a transparent substrate, a piezoelectric transducer array formed on essentially entire transparent substrate surface, including a central area of the transparent device, and an electronic system configured to actuate the piezoelectric transducer array to clean a surface of the substrate. Such a device may be used for applications such as LIDAR, radar and camera enclosures, solar cell panel cover glasses, vehicle windshields, windows, sunroofs and headlamps, street lighting and information displays.

Full-frame adhesive anti-fog film structure
The present invention is to provide a full-frame adhesive anti-fog film structure, comprising: an anti-fog film, which has a front side and a back side opposing the front side; and an adhesive, which is disposed at an edge of the back side and arranged along the edge so as to be frame-shaped. The anti-fog film of the present invention is attachable to a planar, cylindrical or spherical lens through the full frame-shaped adhesive so that not only can the anti-fog film be fully attached to the lens but the full attachment of film also prevents bubbles from forming between the two attached surfaces. Also, an airtight space is formed between the full-frame adhesive anti-fog film structure and the lens to stop heat transfer and prevent fog from being formed, so as to not only provide good vision to users but also reduce the chance that the user will fall prey to an accident if the user's view is blocked.
