Adhesive mountable stack of removable layers
An eye protector includes a lens configured to protect the wearer from projectiles, and an optically clear stack attached to the lens. The stack can have one or more removable layers. The eye protector also includes an optically clear dry mount adhesive layer attaching the stack to the lens. The dry mount adhesive may be self-wetting to attach the stack to the lens so that air between the stack and the lens can be removed after the stack is attached and/or adhered to the lens, for example, by applying pressure across the surface of the stack. The refractive indices of the lens, the dry mount adhesive, and each removable layer are matched to within about 0.2.
TEAROFF TAB TENSIONER
A tearoff film lens cover system includes a goggle lens or visor and a pin arranged to receive respective tabs of a plurality of tearoff films positioned on the goggle lens or visor, the pin having a head and a shaft that is narrower than the head. The pin may be disposed on an outrigger of a goggle frame, on a strap clip removably clipped to a goggle strap, or on a racing helmet visor, for example. A resilient body is disposed adjacent the shaft of the pin so as to compress as the tabs of the tearoff films are received by the pin, the resilient body biasing the received tearoff films toward the head of the pin.
Tear-Off Lens Capture
A tear-off capture system includes an eye protector with a base lens. The eye protector has a retention mechanism mounted on one side, and a support mechanism that supports the eye protector on the head of a wearer. A two-tabbed stack of laminated tear-off lenses mounts to the eye protector via an adhesive. The stack mounts so that the first tab of the stack aligns with the first side of the eye protector and the second tab engages with the retention mechanism. Via the second tab and the retention mechanism, released tear-off layers are directed toward the second side of the eye protector away from the base lens. A capturer helps hold the initially released tear-off layer to the eye protector. An exposed tacky surface on each released tear-off helps hold the subsequently removed tear-off layers.
Snowmobile Helmet
A helmet has a fan forcing air into a ducting channel to provide air circulation within the helmet for distributing the exhaust air over a faceplate linked to the helmet for eliminating moisture and frost from the faceplate's interior surface. A heating element warms the circulating air for warmth in extremely cold weather. A wiper is installed above the faceplate for clearing moisture from the faceplate's surface. The faceplate is coated with a photochromic material for causing the lightening and darkening of the faceplate dependent upon the ambient light. A pair of lights are mounted on the front and rear of the helmet for safety. A pair of audio headphones, a microphone, and a transceiver are mounted within the helmet for communication with a cellular telephone. A battery provides power for powering the fan heating elements, the wiper, and the lights.

Film roll, and a film advance system and protective goggles comprising such a film roll
A film roll for use in a film advance system for eye protective goggles comprises a transparent film wound on the spindle. The film has an inner trailing end, a leading end, and a total film length. In use, the transparent film extends across a lens of the goggles. The transparent film presents a transparent main film part, which extends in the longitudinal direction from the trailing end to the leading end, and which presents optically uniform characteristics at least in the longitudinal direction. The transparent film is provided with at least one visual indication, which is located above the main film part and extends along an upper film edge of the transparent film, said at least one visual indication being limited to a trailing part of said total film length.
